Nic Antaya

Nic Antaya is a freelance photographer and visual journalist based out of Detroit, Michigan. He photographs news, portraits, sports, and more with clients including The New York Times, Getty Images, The Wall Street Journal, and The Washington Post among others at the core, what he loves about being a photographer is connecting with people. For him, the experience he has in connecting with others is just as important as the photo that is made. He approaches storytelling through documentary photography and portraiture. He is an alumnus of Michigan State University, the Danish School of Media and Journalism (DMJX) and the Eddie Adams Workshop XXXI. Prior to freelancing, he interned with The Boston Globe, The Herald (Jasper, Ind.) and The Grand Rapids Press/MLive.com (Grand Rapids, Mich.)
