Adobe XD Integration with Microsoft Teams Gains Steam
Creativity meets collaboration.
Aug 27, 2019 Update: Microsoft Teams has hit a milestone of 500K organizations. It continues to gain traction with customers, like Havas Group, that collaborate and streamline UX/UI design and development with Adobe XD and its Microsoft Teams integration.
The team behind Microsoft Teams, which celebrated its second year anniversary earlier this year, has officially announced the product is now being used by 500,000 organizations (including 91 of the Fortune 100).
One of Microsoft Teams’ key customers is global communications agency Havas Group, which has adopted Adobe XD and Microsoft Teams. This allows them to streamline design and development workflows, helping them and their clients meet the demands for personalized digital experiences that delight users and customers. Havas Group employs 20,000 people in more than 100 countries, and boasts a unique “village” structure, which breaks down traditional silos and unites all units– creative, media, and everything in between. This initiative brings the most talented people across all disciplines together under one roof for seamless collaboration. Tools designed to work together, like Adobe XD and Teams, are essential in supporting this strategy.
“Everything for us is in Microsoft Teams,” said Aleza Kleinworm, Project Manager / UX Designer on the North America IT Team. “Teams is how we communicate and collaborate together, and the integration with Adobe XD brings this to our UX/UI design and development workflows.” Aleza works closely with a team of developers, project managers, and stakeholders on internal portals, applications, and workflows that help Havas Group manage its business.

We’re excited to announce a new integration between Adobe XD, the end-to-end solution for UX/UI design, and Microsoft Teams, the chat-based collaboration service and hub for teamwork in Office 365.
Building on the existing integration between Creative Cloud and Microsoft Teams that launched last year, we’re excited to extend support to Adobe XD, enabling designers and stakeholders to collaborate more efficiently on prototypes and design specs.
Powerful XD sharing workflows
Using XD, designers can quickly create and share prototypes for websites and mobile apps. In addition, they can publish design specs that include production-ready assets and documentation that enable developers to implement the design.
Rather than send these links over email, organizations using Microsoft Teams can now benefit from a richer experience, which includes seeing a summary and thumbnail preview of the prototype or design spec — and it all works by simply pasting a link generated by XD into Microsoft Teams.
Faster review cycles
As a designer posting your shared prototypes and design specs to Microsoft Teams, you also get notifications when stakeholders make comments, meaning that you’re always up to date and don’t need to manage comments flowing into your email.
Assets at your fingertips
In addition to supporting XD sharing workflows, the Creative Cloud integration with Microsoft Teams also provides quick access to your Creative Cloud files and libraries right within your Microsoft Teams workspace. This makes it easier to find and share assets from Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and other Creative Cloud applications.
It’s always been our goal to remove the friction that comes from designing, prototyping, and sharing user experiences and enable fast-paced iteration. With the integration of Microsoft Teams and Adobe XD, we’re excited to deliver a major boost to your productivity when working as part of a team.
As always, we look forward to your feedback, and encourage you to provide feedback and feature suggestions on our UserVoice site.
