Melissa Groo

Melissa Groo is a wildlife conservation photographer and writer. She’s a columnist on wildlife photography for Outdoor Photographer magazine, and a contributing editor to Audubon magazine. In 2020, the Cornell Lab of Ornithology released her masterclass course on bird photography (“Bird Photography with Melissa Groo”). She’s an Associate Fellow with the International League of Conservation Photographers.

Melissa advises numerous organizations, publications, and photo contests on ethics in nature photography. She is passionate about promoting ethical fieldcraft that honors wild animals and keeps their welfare and wildness paramount.
