Robbie Allen

Robbie is the CEO of Infinia ML, a team of machine-learning experts focused on business impact. The team uses natural-language processing, deep learning, and other techniques to help companies reduce costs, increase efficiency, and find breakthroughs. Before this, Robbie founded Automated Insights, a company that used natural language generation software to create content for The Associated Press, Yahoo!, and others. Automated Insights was acquired by Vista Equity Partners in 2015, and Allen currently serves as the company’s Executive Chairman. Prior to that, Allen was a Distinguished Engineer at Cisco. He has authored or co-authored eight software books, he owns six patents, and he’s spoken at a variety of conferences including the O’Reilly AI Conference, Strata, SXSW, and the MIT Sloan CIO Symposium. He holds two Master’s degrees from MIT and is completing his PhD in computer science at UNC-Chapel Hill.
