RoboHelp 10 Featurette Videos, part 4: bookmarks and conditions
This is the fourth in a series of blogs that cluster together some very brief, but useful “how to” videos on important features in RoboHelp 10. Part 1 of this series focus on navigation links and Part 2 focused on dealing with two types of graphics, while Part 3 focused on TOCs and profiles. This blog touches on even more powerful things that you can do with RoboHelp.

RoboHelp 10: Bookmarks
RoboHelp 10 bookmarks allow you to swiftly create destinations for hyperlinks that go below the topic level. Bookmarks are also useful for adding subtopic links in a TOC. Another use for bookmarks is to help a user instantly navigate to key portions of long tables or lists of information. You can create bookmarks in RoboHelp with a simple drag n’ drop!

ROBOHELP 10: Preview content based on conditions
RoboHelp 10 has a convenient preview function to swiftly view your current topic. Some users don’t notice the pull-down menu in the upper right hand corner that allows you to preview different versions of the content based on CBTs (Condition Build Tags.) This is a great “pre-flight” check to use before generating your final output.
