RoboHelp 10 Featurette Video, part 20: Working with CSS (Style Sheets)

This blog summarizes two recent RoboHelp Featurette Videos that both deal with an important aspect of Help projects: CSS or style sheets. RoboHelp has very accessible tools for modifying or creating CSS. In these two videos you will see how to create a CSS from scratch, and also how to apply a new CSS to all topics in a project.

A key to the second process is knowing where to look to select all of your topics. Hint: look at the bottom of your RoboHelp workspace for a pod that says “Topics.”

ROBOHELP 10: Creating CSS for a Topic

RoboHelp 10 has simple, intuitive tools for creating CSS style sheets. This brief video shows how we take one topic (that has no real style) and swiftly create 3 basic styles. Afterwords, we apply Heading 1 and Heading 2 to give the topic some class. In less than 2 minutes, you can accomplish the same thing!

ROBOHELP 10: Apply a CSS to all Topics

Now that we’ve learned how to create a simple CSS for a single topic in a RoboHelp 10 project, watch this brief video to see how you can apply one CSS to ALL topics in a project. The trick is finding the right location where topics are listed, so you can’t go wrong. Hint: look at the bottom of your RoboHelp workspace. You can learn how in about 90 seconds.
