At the end of last month I hosted an Adobe Digital Trends Briefing for digital marketers in Copenhagen. We had a great turnout on the day and many people stayed to have lunch and network after the presentations.
Franck Attia, Adobe’s regional Head of Sales for Adobe Campaign, opened the day by explaining how important it is for us to make connections with our customers in the Nordic region, and gave the audience some insight in to Adobe’s plans for supporting and growing our customer base. Andrew Warren-Payne from Econsultancy travelled out with me from the UK and presented to the audience on the results of the last three Quarterly Digital Intelligence Briefings that we have released in conjunction with them. Andrew talked about the biggest trends for this year, which include Customer Experience and Mobile and then gave some practical examples of how brands are “crossing the gaps” between the customer and the organisation and also within their own marketing departments, as the need for new skills and technologies becomes greater. I then gave a short presentation on how some of Adobe’s customers have already been able to use technology to take advantage of these trends, and also asked the audience for their perspectives on the opportunities ahead. You can see the results of the interactive poll in which I asked the audience what they saw as the biggest opportunities for 2015 below:
After that we had great presentations from Morten Busk at e‑capacity and Jacob Sørenson of wunderman on marketing attribution techniques and building and strengthening customer relationships. Finally, we ended with a panel discussion including Thomas Loyman from e‑capacity and Franck Attia, discussing where to get started with the biggest opportunity of the moment — customer experience — and giving some advice as to how marketers could get started with the technology and also making changes to their organisational structure to get the best out of their marketing.
It was a very successful day and a great privilege to be able to work with our partners and spend time with our customers in Denmark.
