Meet the new generation of video editors

Last month we focused on colour to help you see the world differently and create interesting new stories with colour details around you. This month, prepare to meet a new generation of video editors and how they use Adobe Creative Cloud tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro CC, Adobe After Effects CC or mobile apps such as Adobe Premiere Clip for visual storytelling.

For starters, we’re inviting some of these talents for a new round of masterclasses. We’ll hear all about their stories and you’ll be able to ask them questions about their work, vision and techniques, so get ready to book some creative time in your agenda.

A masterclass with PostPanic, the creative team responsible for ‘Sundays’

PostPanic is a hybrid film company based in Amsterdam. Founded in 1997, they specialise in integrated, mixed media projects, produce commercial films and long format films (PostPanic Pictures) and promote emerging commercial talent through the Panic Program. They also host and curate the bi-annual PanicRoom.

You might know them for their most recent work, ‘Sundays’, which will be precisely the subject of their masterclasses. You’ll be able to learn more about how they work, what it takes to make a movie and how they create stunning visual effects, as well as ask questions to the team directly.

All of this is scheduled for April 15 and you can register for the masterclass with PostPanic here.

What’s coming next to the Adobe Pro video tools

On April 22, Jason Levine, Principal Worldwide Evangelist for Adobe, will unveil industry-leading innovations in performance and collaboration, while showing off new workflows that take integration to the next level. Jason will also attend NAB Show in Las Vegas, the largest conference for video professionals, and will share the major announcements from the event.

You’ll be able to chat with Jason live during his presentation and be among the first to see what’s coming next to your Creative Cloud video tools and workflows. Register for Jason’s masterclass here.

How to make a movie with your DSLR and make it look like film

On April 29, join Creative Cloud Evangelist Michael Chaize to learn how to shoot and edit your first video with Adobe Premiere Pro CC, covering the basics of video editing but also some useful tips on how you can make it look like film. As more and more video makers use their DSLR (such as the Canon 7D) to shoot movies, you’ll also learn how to colour grade your film, optimise your audio tracks, create slow motion effects and add professional titles.

Join us and Michael on April 29 by registering to his masterclass here.

Video Interview of Valentin Petit, movie director

We’re also hosting an interview with a young and very talented movie director, Paris-based Valentin Petit. Among other things, you’ll learn more about his creative process, from story-boarding to post-production, using video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro CC and Adobe After Effects CC.

These are just some of the activities we have planned around the celebration of a new generation of video makers, so stay tuned for more. This month will be filled with exclusive stories, smart workflows and exciting pieces of work. Get ready to see how the pros #MakeIt with Adobe Creative Cloud tools.
