Summary of feature areas that are new in the product- more productivity - RTL language support - apps for mobile devices - best-in-class XML authoring and simplified XML authoring - enhancements to have a “rock solid” product
Better Tables: conditional columns, enhanced insert, navigate through columns more easy with arrow keys and drag and drop rows and columns; solid cell fills / shadings; NEW table styles out of box

Collaborate more effectively: Import of Microsoft Word docs into FrameMaker has been greatly enhanced. Map paragraph, character and table styles. Option to keep loca formattings overrides in the Word document or clean them during import. Option to delete empty paragraphs.

View of Direction Tab for tables … how to give a table a fixed direction, regardless of normal inheritance from the document
Changing a translated document to RTL direction … Observe that “fixed” table maintains original LTR direction. One graphic which was set to LTR has not changed.

Using special markers to keep slashes in URLs in proper format

Simplified XML Authoring Environment. Picture of the old workflow. Two types of NEW simplified authoring without XML code.
Quick Element Toolbar: While inserting a new element, FrameMaker will figure out the next valid place where you can insert this element. Result: Valid XML.
