The 2015 Celebrating Creativity in the Public Sector Awards

By Jerry Silverman

‘Creative’ isn’t often the first word that comes to mind when people consider government services. Yet with private sector organizations implementing the best of modern digital communications tools, public sector organizations have had to adapt to keep pace with citizens’ expectations.

Some public sector campaigns have created truly inspiring and creative work to connect with citizens. Today, we’re showcasing the very best of these campaigns on Adobe’s Creativity in Public Sector Behance Gallery and we’re proud to announce the Celebrating Creativity in the Public Sector Awards. These awards will recognize a few of the best public sector creative campaigns, with the winners announced at Adobe MAX in Los Angeles, October 3-7, 2015.

Today, citizens expect to have the same high-quality, personalized experience when interacting with public sector organizations as they do when booking a vacation online or using digital banking. Immediate access to services from any device or location has become the status quo in the private sector. Digitally savvy, mobilized citizens deserve digital government offerings that live up to their expectations for creative, commercial-grade quality.

Judging by the submissions we’ve had so far for this year`s Creativity in Public Sector Awards, it`s clear that creativity is becoming a central consideration for optimizing citizen engagement. With outstanding work like this, public sector organizations are not only breaking down stereotypes of government-citizen interaction, they`re keeping up with their private sector counterparts in producing high-quality content and adapting to the consumerization of government.
