What’s Next?

Project 1324 and Sundance Institute are calling upon emerging filmmakers around the world to take on this question in a short film challenge.

We are looking for films that are pure, bold, renegade, independent, innovative, next wave, next breed, and stylistically adventurous.

Sundance Institute will award an Ignite Fellowship to five filmmakers whose films embody these qualities and demonstrate artistic excellence.

The Sundance Ignite Fellows Program is a competitive fellowship that provides opportunities for engagement, mentorship and industry exposure for emerging filmmakers during the Sundance Film Festival and select opportunities throughout the following year. The Ignite award includes a special ticket package for the 2016 Sundance Film Festival; roundtrip flight to Salt Lake City, UT; ground transportation to/from Park City, UT; lodging; and a stipend for meals.

Films must be between one and eight minutes in length and respond to the question, “What’s Next?” You must be between the ages of 18 and 24 to participate.

A special website will open on October 29, 2015 to receive and showcase submissions. Submit your film as early as you can so the Project 1324 community has a chance to watch it! Audience favorites will receive special consideration. Submissions close on November 16, 2015.

We look forward to seeing your films!
