Tor Weibull gets his inspiration from lots of things:

”When you see potential in something that can be made into something new. It can be anything. A reflection in a mirror that looks cool, a picture on the web,” says Tor Weibull.

Franz Kafka’s book The Metamorphosis, designed with the intentions of giving the reader an understanding for the odd situation that occurs for the Samsa family.

How does it feel to be a winner of the Nordic Creative Talent Award?

”I’m very honoured. Feels really good and stregthens my self-confidence.”

“My final degree project ’Making A voice’ is a book where one can follow my process of drawing a typeface with focus on the function good readability in print,” says Tor Weibull.

Tor Weibull uses Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop mostly.

”My favourite feature in Photoshop is the timeline. It is fun to do small animations,” says Tor Weibull.

Reflective Fascination is an homage to metal, the material, it’s beauty and functions.

The award is given by Adobe Nordic and CAP&Design, the leading magazine about graphic communication and design in the Nordics, to the eight most creative talents from Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Finland under 28 years old at award ceremonies in Stockholm, Copenhagen, Oslo, and Helsinki later this year.

The Nordic Creative Talent Award celebrates the most outstanding talents under 28 years of age, active within the fields of graphic design, digital art, photography, video, motion graphics and imagination. Anyone can nominate a young talent practising in the fields of design, graphic design, digital art, photography, video, motion graphics or web design for this award. A jury will select two winners from each country (Sweden, Denmark, Norway, and Finland).
