Making Audio Sound Awesome with Audition CC
Fall is my favorite time of the year as the leaves turn and the air crisps, the sunset droops lower each evening, and invariably Adobe unveils a new update to the Creative Cloud desktop tools. 2016 is no exception, and I’m proud to share what’s coming for Audition and audio at Adobe. You can also learn more about what’s coming to all of Adobe’s video and audio tools here.
Most obvious on first launch will be our new User Interface. You’ll see this gorgeous, flat UI in our updates, but expect the experience to unify the look-and-feel of Adobe’s tools across the spectrum, from desktop to mobile and web. With all-new vector-based icons, the UI elements should look sharp at any display resolution.
A peek behind the curtain would expose a lot of goings-on with effect plug-ins. Not only will you see an update to many of our classic plug-ins to fully support High DPI displays, but the audio team has shared several Audition-only audio effects with Premiere Pro including Adaptive Noise Reduction, Parametric EQ, Automatic Click Removal, Studio Reverb, and even the top-tier Dynamics Processing compressor/expander. Video editors will now be able to drop these effects on their clips without leaving the comfort of their NLE timeline.
We’re also previewing a new feature providing deeply integrated tutorial walkthroughs right inside the application. If you’re new to audio editing, or want to learn how to perform some common tasks such as noise reduction or mixing for video, you’ll enjoy step-by-step guided tours to achieve great results and start on the path to becoming an expert.
And if you’ll be attending the IBC Exhibition in Amsterdam, Sept 9-13, come by the Adobe booth for a first-hand look at what’s new in Audition and the other Adobe Creative Cloud applications, and visit our theater where we’ve invited some of our customers to discuss the content produced. These customers include professionals in audio, YouTube content, 360-degree virtual reality video, 2D and 3D motion graphics, as well as film, entertainment, sports, and media production. Please watch Mike Russell of Music Radio Creative and New Media Europe who will be talking about the importance of audio in video workflows and how he achieves top quality sound using Adobe Audition CC.
_Tune in to our interactive _YouTube Live Event_ on September 7th at 8 a.m. PST. Our video guru, Jason Levine, will demo all that’s coming to _Adobe Creative Cloud pro video and audio tools. And join us at IBC Show 2016 – Hall 7, Stand 7.G27 in the RAI Amsterdam Convention Center — September 9th – 13th to see demonstrations of these features in action.
Because this is a sneak peek, you won’t have access to these new features quite yet. Become a Creative Cloud member now to be sure you can get them as soon as they’re available. For more information about Creative Cloud, see this overview video and the Creative Cloud FAQ list.
