FrameMaker (2015 release) – Update 5 released
This one is all about the inner beauty … We’ve been working hard to improve FrameMaker (2015 release) with many stability and performance tweaks. Not seeing any fancy new features? That’s because this update is purely focused on making FrameMaker really rock-solid and lightning fast. Namaste!
Bug Fixes
Following is the list of enhancements we have made to FrameMaker (2015 release) in Update 5 (yes, that’s 14 of them!):
- Responsive HTML5 output is now optimized for Google search, which makes the output searchable.
- If there are a large number of fonts (1800+) installed on the system, FrameMaker user can now apply correct fonts that appear lower down in the font list.
- In some cases, if an SVG file contains open type fonts, it now renders correctly in FrameMaker and output PDF.
- In Windows 10, FrameMaker no longer crashes while embedding fonts in EPUB output.
- Selecting the option Use Only ASCII Characters in Generated Filenames in Publishing Settings dialog now works as expected.
- Incorrect cross-reference is no longer being generated if the source type selected is paragraph.
- FrameMaker console window displaying publishing related error message on launch is now fixed.
- In some cases, generating a PDF document took too long. This is now fixed.
- FrameMaker installer no longer installs unsupported software and OpenSSL files.
- Generating PDF output through FrameMaker Publishing Server doesn’t fail if the file path is too long.
- In some cases, when there are a large number of nested cross-references in a DITA map file, FrameMaker now takes much lesser time to load the file.
- Performance is now better while uploading files through CMS Connector for AEM.
- While checking out files from AEM, cached dependent files on the local system are now refreshed.
- Resources dependency calculation is not done while uploading a folder on AEM server hosting XML Add-on.
