Mashable CMO Stacy Martinet Moves To Marketing Role At Adobe
Former Mashable CMO Stacy Martinet has joined Adobe as senior director, global marketing strategy and operations, reporting to EVP/CMO Ann Lewnes. This puts her at the helm of CMO.com, where she will oversee the site’s content strategy and platform infrastructure.
Martinet will also oversee Lewnes’ executive communications platform, which includes all external and internal speaking engagements; global marketing operations, which includes strategic planning, budget management, and measurement reporting; and content tracks for CMO/VIP audiences at signature events throughout the year, including Adobe MAX, Adobe Summit, and various digital marketing symposia.
Martinet’s 15-year career in marketing and communications places her at the forefront of the media, marketing, and technology worlds
Martinet joins Adobe from Mashable, where she was the CMO for nearly six years. She played a critical role in building Mashable’s marketing and communications organization, leading an integrated marketing strategy across the global brand, communications, social media, and events. She also sat on the company’s operating committee, which directed Mashable’s strategy, planning, and operations.
Prior to Mashable, Martinet spent 10 years in corporate communications and digital marketing at The New York Times. What’s more, she was an active member of New York’s media community, serving as president elect for “New York Women in Communications,” and was an active member of the “Women’s Forum of New York.”
Martinet joins at a time when CMO.com recently rolled out a responsive design for both the mobile and desktop versions of the site, all based on Adobe’s AEM content management system. Since the start of 2016, CMO.com has seen more than 2.7 million page views to the site, and its Twitter following recently topped 80,000. CMO.com also has garnered more than 20,000 shares of its content monthly, and its email subscriber list has grown to more 30,000 globally. Podcasts and video content have also been introduced this year, and more are scheduled for 2017. Continuing globalization of the site is also on tap for next year in EMEA, APAC, and, now, Latin America.
Martinet officially begins on Nov. 1, initially working out of Adobe’s Times Square office before eventually relocating to the San Jose, California area.
