Greetings, CMO.com Friends!

Welcome to the fourth annual edition of our holiday poem—a little confection, a mere trifle, an amuse-bouche to get your holiday season off to a tasty start. Click on the links at the very end to see previous years’ efforts, as well as to read about the genesis of the verse. Sit back, sip an eggnog, read on, and enjoy.

Halloa! our cohort, one and all.

We hope you loved spring, summer, and fall,

’Cause winter’s back—and with it poesy—

So snuggle up and get real cozy

As we prepare our holiday party;

No fancy fare, just food real hearty:

Each guest, you see, will bring a dish—

A pick so tasty, a snack delish.

For what is Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanza,

Without a lean brisket or a luscious lasagna?

So, marketing leaders, your appetite’s showing—

Let’s get this freakin’ fête a’going!

Look, here they come, our guests are near,

Their arms all loaded with holiday cheer.

Robert Rose, of course, is first, yes ma’am,

He’s hauling a holiday honey-baked ham

To share with Stacy Martinet,

Who’s just slushed in on a one-horse sleigh

With a covered dish of potatoes, mashed,

For Marsha Lindsay and Peter Nash.

Both Sinan Kanatsiz and Steven Cook

Have about them that lean and hungry look,

As they decide what they’re requestin’—

Yep, it’s roasted turkey from dear Gayle Kesten.

Rare roast is offered—well-done would be ruinous—

Thanks to Adobe’s own CMO, Ann Lewnes.

Anders-Sundt Jensen and Rachel Weiss

Brought warm apple pie—who craves a slice!?

Look! Little biscuits, soft as pillows

Arrive hot and buttered via Nick Corcodilos.

What have you there, Jan-Patrick Schmitz?

A delectable bowl of olives—sans pits.

Shrimp cocktail and clams on the half shell to start

Come with the compliments of Alan B. Hart.

Dan Berthiaume’s no slouch—he’s brought a box

Of pink and smoky Nova Scotia lox!

Wait, here come the two Steves—Diorio and Fund

Who’ve baked a nice cake—yep, it’s a Bundt.

Hey, Maci Peterson, yo, Tony Quin!

What’s that you two are bringing in?

A casserole of French-cut beans …

Sure, help yourself, Grammy’s Evan Greene.

Whoopie Pies bring much-needed hysterics

When passed out by old friend Alma Derricks.

The boards a’groaning, the mood is fun-like—

Well, thanks for coming, ol’ Jeff Pundyk,

And for bringing us some crispy rashers …

Don’t eat them all, you scamp, Mark Asher.

Aidan Lyons, Robbie Lynch

Walter Levitt—nary one a Grinch.

Doug Kessler, why, thank you—a lovely pear tree,

Which makes Kim Partridge just thrilled as can be.

She’s ladling soup, so hot, rich, and thick—

Dig in and enjoy, hotelier Josh Lesnick.

Lively Ray Wang and Cooperstein, David,

Hope you find everything wonderfully flavored.

Brian Solis seems sated, as does yon Michael Becker.

He looks ready to leave, though he’s no party wrecker.

It’s about that time to say farewell, we fear.

Our feasting is done, the gang’s all here.

The old year’s going, none too soon for some,

We hope ’17 is both prosperous and fun.

CMO.com, for its part (though it’s really not much),

Will be here every day helping keep you in touch

With the strategies, insights, and ideas galore

That our ravenous friends help us bring to the fore.

So chomp on that drumstick, there’s no need to be troubled—

May your stomach be full and your budget be doubled.

Happy Holidays from all of us at CMO.com by Adobe!
