Adobe and Dedicated Tech Industry Supporters Attend the 2017 ITI Tech Show

On May 17, Adobe was thrilled to join many of our industry peers at the 2017 ITI STEM Show and Tech Show.

We brought examples of some of our latest technology, including a futuristic virtual reality (VR) experience powered byAdobe Primetime, and tools for state of the art content security and digital rights management (DRM). We also showed off some recent public sector projects empowered by Adobe Experience Manager, including Marines.com and Australia.com.

The day kicked off with a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) Show, with more than one hundred students from the SEED School, H.D. Woodson, McKinley Tech, Friendship Collegiate Academy, and Arlington Career Center here in the Washington, DC area.

These bright students were excited to test out our VR experience, and learn that VR can have many more applications beyond just games. The students also shared some of their own tech experiences, and we were excited to hear how many have had some experience with coding or are attending STEM and STEAM programs over the summer!

In the evening, the ITI Tech Show hosted more than 650 industry influencers from across the city, including Members of Congress, administration officials, and agency and Hill staff.

Staff from the House Oversight & Government Reform Committee and House Homeland Security Committee dropped by the Adobe booth. We also had the opportunity to chat with staff from the offices of Congressman Will Hurd (R-TX), Congresswoman Robin Kelly (D-IL), Congressman Duncan Hunter (R-CA), Congressman Dutch Ruppersberger (D-MD), amongst others.

Conversations ranged from how modern digital marketing tools can be leveraged to recruit today’s warfighter (as Adobe has helped Marines.com to do), to discussions of the importance of document-level data protection for critical government content.

Congressman John Ratcliffe (R-TX) experienced our Adobe Primetime VR demo first hand.

Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz talked with the Adobe team about modern digital government solutions.

Adobe and our industry peers appreciate these legislators for their support of innovation and tech initiatives. Thank you to the Members, staffers, students and all who attended, and to ITI for hosting a terrific 4th annual Tech Show.
