Redefining the Future of Work

Digital transformation continues to accelerate across industries at a breathtaking pace. The most successful companies today will focus relentlessly on providing an exceptional, differentiated customer experience as they digitally transform – the two go hand in hand. At Adobe, we strongly believe that “Differentiated Experiences” will be the digital battleground of the future, and will define the ultimate success for businesses on this journey. We are committed to helping our customers succeed by enabling them to deliver highly contextual and personalized experiences that scale and seamlessly span devices and location.

As part of this commitment, today we announced a significant expansion of our strategic alliance with Microsoft with the goal of increasing workforce productivity and driving more efficient business processes for hundreds of millions of users.

There are two parts to today’s announcement: First, Adobe Sign is now the preferred e-signature solution across Microsoft’s portfolio– including the 100 million business users of Microsoft Office 365. Adobe Sign, a key element of Document Cloud, is one of the fastest-growing e-signature and workflow automation solutions in the world. More than six billion digital and electronic signature transactions are processed through Adobe Document Cloud each year, for customers including Deloitte, Diners Club, MasterCard, The Royal Bank of Scotland, Verizon and more. In addition, Adobe will make Microsoft Azure its preferred cloud platform for Adobe Sign.

Second, Microsoft Teams, the new chat-based workspace in Microsoft Office 365, will become the preferred collaboration service for Adobe Creative, Document and Experience Clouds. By integrating with Microsoft Teams, Adobe’s creative customers will now have access to a world-class collaboration workspace that will speed up creative feedback, iteration and decision-making across devices.

This partnership brings together leaders in document and productivity software to redefine the modern enterprise experience on how work gets done, creating an environment where employees using the best productivity tools available enjoy a seamless work experience no matter where they are.

Moving forward, to deliver on this vision of “Differentiated Experiences” we will be partnering with Microsoft in other key areas.

For example, digitization has the capacity to transform customer-facing journeys in powerful ways. With PDF and Acrobat, Adobe has a long history of bringing paper documents into the digital world. Adobe Document Cloud continues this rich heritage of innovation with a mission to modernize and deliver elegant document experiences for the modern business. Working with Microsoft, we will bring the richness and power of Document Cloud directly into the productivity and collaboration solution of choice for the modern enterprise – Office 365 – to enable a modern digital experience that is unmatched by any other ecosystem.

And last year, we announced Adobe Sensei, our AI/ML framework that provides our customers with the insights and intelligence they need to change the way they do business and the way their customers experience it. Partnering with Microsoft, we see a future where we can leverage Adobe’s massive intelligence repository and apply it to the hundreds of millions of PDF’s stored in SharePoint and Microsoft OneDrive to light up new experiences. The combined power of our technologies will allow businesses to harness their data in new ways, unlocking critical business insights and actionable intelligence.

At Adobe, we’re always looking to solve the next big problem for our customers. In Microsoft, we have a partner that shares a common DNA for innovation and customer focus. This partnership provides us with an incredible opportunity to deliver simple, frictionless solutions for our joint customers. I’m excited about what we can accomplish together.
