Adobe Recognized in Dow Jones Sustainability Index for Second Consecutive Year

Adobe has again been named to the Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI) World, the gold standard of corporate responsibility reporting for the investor community. Out of 52 invited software companies, Adobe joins four industry leaders on DJSI World: CA, Microsoft, SAP, and Symantec.

Adobe scored either best – or tied for best in world – in three categories: environmental policy and management systems; codes of business conduct; and climate strategy – all strengthened by our leading Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) policies and programs.

Since 1999, RobecoSAM has been conducting the annual Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA), which serves as the framework for measuring corporate sustainability performance and forms the research backbone for the Dow Jones Sustainability Indices (DJSI). More information about DJSI and its methodology can be found here.

In addition to investing in sustainability leaders that deliver solid financial performance, investors are increasingly focusing on the impact these companies are making on society. In response, DJSI companies were assessed on how they address the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) set by the United Nations Development Programme in 2016.

In addition to publishing our annual Sustainability and Social Impact Report, we have identified five UN SDGs that best align with Adobe’s core business and expertise: Quality Education, Gender Equality, Decent Work and Economic Growth; Responsible Consumption and Production; and Climate Action. Through continued and new initiatives, we are committed to helping reach the targets set out by the UN and do our part to promote sustainable, equitable and universal growth.
