UK Shoppers Gear Up for Online Christmas: Infographic

With the hol­i­day sea­son fast approach­ing, Adobe Dig­i­tal Insights spoke to over 5,000 con­sumers across the globe about their Christ­mas retail habits to deter­mine what, where and how they intend to shop this year. The results? Record spend­ing is on the cards for Britons, with the UK shop­pers we spoke to esti­mat­ing an aver­age bud­get of £1,963, over half of which will be online.

So how can retail­ers secure a slice of hol­i­day spend­ing? The research revealed that it’s all about the expe­ri­ence, which mat­ters more at Christ­mas than any oth­er time of year. The chal­lenge for retail­ers is to ensure that the Christ­mas shop­ping expe­ri­ence stacks up with the oth­er expe­ri­ences con­sumers par­take in dur­ing this spe­cial time, from fes­tive cel­e­bra­tions with fam­i­ly, friends and col­leagues, to gift giv­ing and receiving.
