At a Glance: Adobe’s 2018 Digital Trends Survey

Near­ly 13,000 mar­keters from around the world took part in our 2018 Dig­i­tal Trends Sur­vey, now in its eighth year. Our research, under­tak­en with Econ­sul­tan­cy, looks at the most sig­nif­i­cant trends affect­ing com­pa­nies in the short to medi­um term. This year we also iden­ti­fied high-per­form­ing com­pa­nies to find out what they do that sets them apart from their peers. High-per­form­ing com­pa­nies are those that exceed­ed their top 2017 busi­ness goal by a sig­nif­i­cant mar­gin, and out­per­formed their competitors.

While there are plen­ty of new insights in this year’s report, the mes­sage is clear: we have well and tru­ly moved into an era where expe­ri­ence is the focal point of dig­i­tal activ­i­ties. Our sur­vey found that self-described design-dri­ven firms sig­nif­i­cant­ly exceed their busi­ness goals. Great tech­nol­o­gy is a vital part of suc­cess, and com­pa­nies deliv­er­ing supe­ri­or cus­tomer expe­ri­ence con­sis­tent­ly win the day.
