TrustArc (formerly known as TRUSTe) powers privacy compliance and risk management with integrated technology, consulting, and TRUSTe certification solutions — addressing all phases of privacy program management. One key component of the TrustArc Data Privacy Management Platform is its Cookie Consent Manager, first introduced to the market in 2012. It is a powerful, flexible, and proven solution to address cookie compliance. Whether it’s implied consent, expressed consent, or a hybrid method, Cookie Consent Manager is designed to make sure users are delivering the correct notice each time.
Among the various features of Cookie Consent Manager is the ability to integrate with tag management systems to identify and block unwanted third parties without exposing visitors to privacy risks. Integration with tag management systems becomes even more important for customers needing to comply with consent mandates contained in the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the anticipated ePrivacy Regulation. For example, integration with tag management systems will become a viable avenue for companies seeking to block unwanted third parties until the user consents — the new “zero cookie load” requirement under the GDPR.
TrustArc and Launch by Adobe
TrustArc has been a strong Adobe collaborator for many years. Now, customers using TrustArc’s Cookie Consent Manager will be able to benefit from its integration with Launch by Adobe, a next-generation tag management system.
Launch by Adobe’s extensibility and open architecture allows TrustArc and Adobe customers to deploy and manage Cookie Consent Manager via a Launch by Adobe extension, based on their specific needs. This ability is critical to TrustArc’s customers in order for them to conform to the evolving requirements of the GDPR before its May 25, 2018 effective date. This capability also gives TrustArc customers access to a tag management system capable of supporting the entire marketing technology ecosystem that they rely on to deliver their desired customer experience, including access to pre-built integrations (“extensions”), which now include TrustArc’s Cookie Consent Manager. Since TrustArc’s customers are very privacy and security conscious, the assurance that Launch by Adobe is SOC-2 and Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act-ready is an additional plus.
