Welcome to the #AdobeLife, Interns

To welcome the first day of summer in the U.S. today, we’re introducing some of our new interns. This year, we’ve opened our doors to the largest class of university talent ever, welcoming 1,200 total interns and university grads worldwide—with 500 interns and nearly 300 grads in the U.S. alone.

Over the course of the summer, our interns will be working on challenging and exciting projects, all cumulating to the intern and MBA project expo, where they’ll get to showcase their work with colleagues across the company, and even some members of our executive leadership team—Adobe CEO, Shantanu Narayen included.

Here’s a look at what some of our interns are currently working on and what attracted them to Adobe in the first place.

Hannah Rosen
Software Developer Intern, Adobe Campaign
University of Maryland, College Park<br>Mission: To build a dashboard that has lasting impact.

What are your main projects this summer?

I’m working with the Adobe Campaign team, and will be designing a dashboard to help them check on the quality of our different software development teams. The dashboard will gather data, such as the number of bugs, thoroughness of tests, etc. And the teams will get a grade to see how well they’re doing.

What are you hoping to learn/get out of your internship this summer?

I want my project to challenge me and at the end of my internship, I want to go back and have something I’m proud to show others. I want my project to contribute to the company!

What attracted you to Adobe?

Adobe’s been a company I’ve wanted to work with for a long time. I’ve always been interested in art and design, and I like how Adobe’s products turn the physical into digital. Adobe just really spoke to me with its focus on the tech and creative side, and I’m really excited that my project combines my technical background with design work.

Daniel James
Social Media and Public Relations Intern, Experience Cloud
Yale University<br>Mission: To shed light on and spread the brand of the Adobe Experience Cloud.

What are your main projects this summer?

My project spans across public relations, social media and marketing. It’s challenging and exactly what I was looking for. I’m running an integrated Experience Cloud marketing campaign for students—future marketers and data scientists—so that they can advocate for the Experience Cloud when they start working. I’m trying to find more ways to introduce the Experience Cloud to students, which is challenging since it’s an enterprise software. Adobe has a wonderful business and I want to spread that brand.

What are you hoping to learn/get out of your internship this summer?

Three things: relationships, improve key marketing skills, and perspective. I want to build genuine and valuable relationships, improve my marketing skills, and learn more about how the tech industry works and gain new perspectives on that.

What attracted you to Adobe?

Once I did a deep dive into companies I was interested in, I believed the most in Adobe’s mission compared to the other ones—to create awesome digital experiences with digital marketing and digital media. I really wanted to be a part of that. When I started interviewing with the team, there was great chemistry and my recruiter was a great advocate for Adobe.

Since joining, what’s surprised me the most is how open people are to meet with me—people not even on my team, who are willing to take time out of their schedules and spread some knowledge to me. From what I’ve heard from other peers at similar tech companies, this is something you don’t really get anywhere else.

**Esha Gupta
Campaign Marketing Manager Intern, Enterprise Marketing
University of Minnesota, Carlson School of Management<br>Mission:&amp;nbsp;**To create and drive integrated marketing campaigns to deliver exceptional customer experience.

What are your main projects this summer?

I am excited to be working as a Campaign Journey Manager for Adobe Cloud Platform. Adobe Cloud Platform is a cross-cloud architecture that creates a unified customer profile giving 360-degree view of a customer. I will develop Campaign brief, define buyer’s journey by segment and work closely with my Campaign Strategy Director and Content Strategist to optimize the Adobe Cloud Platform campaign.

What are you hoping to learn/get out of your internship this summer?

I want to learn what it takes to manage a campaign from end-to-end, and how can I break down the silos to make hyper-personalization and a seamless omni-channel experience a reality for my customers.

What attracted you to Adobe?

I was gravitated to Adobe because of three major reasons. First, Adobe follows a ‘Disrupt or be disrupted’ philosophy which I found particularly impressive given the age of digital disruption. Second, they wish to transform itself to an Experience Business. The fundamental belief is that at the end of the day people do not buy products, they buy experiences and as someone who has spent a lot of time understanding the pain points of customers in past jobs, this vision spoke very loudly to me and lastly the people working here are phenomenal and I wanted to become a part of this family.

Robert Quinones
QE Developer Intern, Identify Services
San Francisco State University<br>Mission: To expand my skills as a software engineer and develop new infrastructures.

What are your main projects this summer?

Over the summer I will be working with the Identity Services team to help cross check changes to their infrastructure via automated testing. The Identity Services team is responsible for everything in regards to the creation and management of Adobe accounts, user login, and service entitlement.

What are you hoping to learn/get out of your internship this summer?

I’m hoping to learn not only new technologies, tools, and expand my skills as a software engineer, but ways to approach software engineering as a team. A lot of my remaining courses in college are team based, so I want to be able to extract bits and pieces of how my team here at Adobe works, and then put those into practice down the line.

What attracted you to Adobe?

I was attracted to Adobe in two ways. The first being that my family uses Adobe products on a daily basis (be it for education or professional purposes). As the only “technical” person in my family, I really wanted to be a part of an organization that was easily recognizable to them, and that they could be proud to know who I was working for. It also seemed that coming to Adobe for my first internship was meant to be, considering the first time I wrote any code was done back in high school using Adobe Dreamweaver – which helped ignite my interest in code and Computer Science as a whole.

A big welcome to all our interns and new grads who have joined us this summer! As summer continues, we’ll be checking-in with some others to see what they’ve accomplished, so stay tuned! And for those looking to join us next year, keep a close eye on our university page to see when we’ll be on your campus.
