Why our interns had an unforgettable summer
Every year, as summer comes to a close and intern season wraps up, Adobe is proud to host our annual Intern and MBA Project Expos across our U.S. sites, where our undergraduate, MBA and Research interns share what exciting projects they’ve been working on. We look forward to these events for many reasons, because when you first see that sea of interns presenting their projects to eager employees who are equally excited to see what they’ve accomplished, there’s an unmistakable sense of pride in the air.
As we say good-bye to our interns for now, we hope that they’ve left Adobe knowing that they’ve made an incredible impact in more ways than one. Here’s a glimpse at what some of our interns had to say about their experience.
My internship at Adobe has been a fantastic learning experience that has encouraged me to grow professionally and personally. I was placed on a team and given high-level goals to accomplish that added significant value to our project. Even as an intern, I was treated as a peer and given the freedom to design my own solutions which gave me an opportunity to exercise and develop my engineering skills. There were numerous opportunities throughout the summer to learn about the company and I’ve been surrounded by extremely supportive, friendly people that have made it that much better to be here.
– Daniel Sabsay, Cloud Operations Automation Engineer Intern
My internship as a Software Engineer on the Adobe E-commerce team is one of the most rewarding experiences of my life in terms of professional and personal growth. Along with building a critical tool for my team, I am building life-long relations with the people here. As a culture that promotes continuous learning and social diversity, Adobe cultivates an environment for me to thrive in. My team-members provide an abundance of support which encourages me to be the best version of myself. I’m fortunate to come to work every day in a place where I’m surrounded by intellectuals, am technically challenged, and above all, am fulfilled.
– Srishti Sehtia, Software Engineer Intern
I’ve learned so much at Adobe. From the different viewpoints from the diverse cultures of people to the skills and knowledge I gained by working for one of the best companies in the world. The work culture is definitely one major thing I will miss from my summer here along with seeing all of the cool new projects Adobe is working on!
– Khalil Anderson, Data Science Research Intern
This summer has been incredible at Adobe. From Day 1 of the hiring process to now, I’ve felt like a valued member of the company. I’ve met some wonderful people who I plan to stay in touch with after the summer ends. My team has also been extraordinarily welcoming to me. I’ve been able to work on a really wide variety of design projects so far. I feel very creatively inspired from my summer here, and I am very grateful!
– Ally Millard, Design Intern
I fell in love with Adobe, not just because of the company itself, but the people who really made me feel at home. The amount of people who were so willing to pour as much knowledge into me was overwhelming, whether I reached out to them or they caught me in the hallway. The intern expo is so important because it forces you to think of what you did this summer in terms of impact and to really begin to evaluate what you learned. It’s also an amazing experience to be able to articulate what you did to people outside of your org. Having the opportunity to talk to engineers about what I did this summer in the sales academy allowed me to see the impact my project may have on even their line of work.
– Jasmine Baker, Account Development Manager Intern, Adobe Sales Academy
