Martin Cereceda and Finding the Perfect Match

Sometimes finding the perfect company that matches your experience and passion can be difficult. Luckily for Martin Cereceda, this wasn’t the case. Coming to Adobe with a background in marketing and advertising, as well as software sales, Martin was looking for a company that bridged the creative side of advertising and marketing, and the innovation of tech. Luckily for him, Adobe was the perfect match. Using his experience in marketing and advertising, mixed with his passion for technology and account management, Martin is a senior enterprise account executive in our Germany office. We sat down with Martin to learn more about his path to Adobe.
What drew you to join Adobe?
Although I’m in sales, I have experience in advertising, marketing and technology. And Adobe really brings these worlds together. There’s no other company in the world that has an extensive set of technology for marketing and creative solutions, and that’s what really drew me in. I went to University for marketing and psychology, but later in my career I was introduced to account management and sales and I really loved it. Now, in my current role it’s great to be back at a company that has the same roots as I.
You’ve been here since May 2018. How has your experience been so far?
It’s absolutely been a great experience. I have a really supportive manager who has made the onboarding experience seamless. I’m making valuable connections, and I can tell right away that Adobe’s not just any old tech company.
What challenges are you most excited to get started on?
I’m excited to continue understanding the business and the full potential our solutions have. The leadership team at Adobe has a really amazing platform strategy that we’ve executed very well on. For me personally, I find it most important to become an expert of the individual industries and market situations my clients operate in, so that we as a team can provide the best value for them. It’s my job to find solutions for them that can differentiate their business from the competition, so there’s a lot of opportunity.
What excites you most about the future of Adobe?
As for the future of the company, that’s a tough question! Seeing this powerful platform that we have, and seeing it grow even stronger with the integration of Magento and artificial intelligence technologies, it’s super exciting.
As for my own future at Adobe, so far, I’m still learning and seeing what opportunities there are to grow. Already I can tell that there are so many different opportunities here, that within one career, it’s impossible to explore all the options Adobe offers.
What would you say to candidates considering joining our team?
Do it! I think Adobe offers a lot, and not only in terms of overall benefits, but in terms of culture and opportunity to learn and grow. If you enjoy challenging work with outstanding colleagues, you’ll have a lot of fun at Adobe. At the same time, be aware that it’s an intense but rewarding workplace. Be self-driven, set your priorities, and keep learning.
