Adobe Design & The Most Creative People in Business

Design at Adobe is a team sport and because of that, every day, I get to collaborate with talented, creative designers across my organization. Designing products for global impact means our designs are in full-view every day: iconic software brands like Photoshop and Acrobat have massive reach. That’s a responsibility we take seriously. And you can be sure — now that we have a 24/7 relationship with customers through always-on platforms such as Creative Cloud, Document Cloud and Experience Cloud — that if a design change doesn’t work, we’ll quickly hear about it!

But with this high profile work comes recognition for Adobe’s unique impact.

Today, Khoi Vinh, Principal Designer here at Adobe was named one of the Most Creative People in Business by Fast Company.

Khoi has officially been with Adobe since 2015 but he’d been a key voice for the customer before he joined us, during his tenure at New York Times and as a design agency founder. Since then he has driven numerous projects and has a strategic role at the center of design, product and strategy for Adobe XD, our all-in-one UX/UI solution for designing websites, mobile apps and more. Khoi has also been the face of Adobe Design at a number of high-profile events, for example showcasing our work on Adobe XD at MAX 2018. He does deliver a great demo! During the past year Khoi sought a new, innovative approach to expand the community of design and build a world that values and understands design better than it does today. Last October, he launched Wireframe, a podcast that endeavors to elevate the conversation around design, to the same level of the arts, in mainstream media.

With this award, Khoi’s work for Adobe Design is recognized along with colleagues from design-led brands – Apple, Levi Strauss & Co., Google, Microsoft, Lego and Nike, to name just a few.

What was especially heartening from this year’s Fast Company list is that 52 of the people recognized are women, 48 men and over 30 percent are people of color. Diversity across creative teams should be a high priority for design leaders. It certainly is for me at Adobe and in my role as a national board member of AIGA.

Congratulations to Khoi for this well-deserved recognition. Now back to planning that killer demo for MAX 2019!
