Adobe After Effects Selected for The Netflix Post Technology Program’s Newly Introduced VFX Category

Adobe After Effects gives us a lot to celebrate. It empowers artists to explore infinite possibilities on screen, from fantastical planets and otherworldly creatures, to gravity-defying car chases, carved out of nothing but imagination.

Today, we’re excited to share that Adobe After Effects has been selected as one of the initial products in the new VFX category within Netflix’s Post Technology Alliance, a program committed to serving the evolving needs of the post-production community through innovation and support. After joining the program with Premiere Pro when it launched last fall, After Effects will now receive a Post Technology Alliance product designation specifically for VFX, a mark of quality, service, and support as a leading VFX tool. Premiere Pro will remain in the Editorial category of the program.

“After Effects has won the trust of visual effects artists all over the world, and now, we’re proud that Netflix has officially welcomed it into the VFX category in the Post Technology Alliance,” said Van Bedient, senior strategic development manager at Adobe. “Through this new designation, we’re excited to continue our work with Netflix to solve creative challenges and optimize workflows for all of the visual effects masters who rely on After Effects to create magic on screen.”

Last fall, After Effects’ founding team was honored with a Scientific and Engineering Award from The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences for breaking new ground in the science of filmmaking.
