Since 1931 we have worked to realize the dream of our founder, Wally Byam: “To create travel trailers that move like streams of air, are light enough to be towed by a car, and create first-class accommodations anywhere.”
With their hardy and intentional design, Airstreams do not have an expiration date. There are countless vintage Airstream trailers still bringing people joy today — some are over 80 years old and still on the road!
Each of our trailers is a product of intentional design and superior craftsmanship, made in a process that’s just as creative as it is industrial. Perhaps there’s no better place than Adobe MAX to show off the design that our company has been so proud of since the beginning. We’re thrilled to bring three of our Airstream models to the conference for the fourth year in a row:
Caravel: The revival of our historic Caravel line includes some of the most lightweight Airstream Travel Trailers that you can tow with an SUV. First introduced in 1956, the Caravel continuously appeared in our lineup as a lightweight, nimble option. Because our founder, Wally Byam, loved the sea and had many adventures of his own on board, the Caravel name was inspired by early European sailing ships specifically good at sailing windward. The new Caravel is a nod to the name’s history and to all of the windward adventures you’ll have with it!

If you have ever found yourself wondering what it would be like to spend a night or two in one of our homes on wheels, now’s your chance! One designer who attends MAX will win a two-night stay in an Airstream at AutoCamp, a $500 flight voucher, and a $100 gift card to Airstream’s official outfitter, Airstream Supply Company.
To enter the contest, attendees are challenged to design one T-shirt, one sticker, and one postcard inspired by their favorite travel destination or adventure memory. Don’t worry — we aren’t asking you to complete your designs during the exciting days at MAX. As long as you stop by and let us scan your badge at the Airstream booth in the Expo Hall, we’ll send a follow-up email your way within days of the conference with details for contest submission.
