Season of Change: Adobe France Creates Change

‘Tis the season to Create Change and give back!

At Adobe, we believe in unlocking the creative potential in everyone to impact the world in ways both big and small. That’s why we work with our employees and partners to help ensure a brighter future for our youth, lift up the communities where we live and work, and improve the health and sustainability of our environment.

As we start our season of giving this year, we want to shine a spotlight on some of our efforts. Today, we’re highlighting some of the amazing work our Adobe France team has been doing for their community. Here’s what they’ve been up to!

La Ressourcerie d’IMAJ & La Ressourcerie La Mine

La Ressourcerie d’IMAJ is part of the Waste Local Prevention Plan of Roissy, aiming to recycle, treat and reuse bulky domestic wastes. Our Adobe volunteers were taught the reality of over consumption, and they worked together to sort out an impressive amount of recovered products and to select the recyclable ones.

Additionally, our Adobe employees also volunteered at La Mine. La Mine collects objects that aren’t needed anymore and gives them a second life. Our teams had the opportunity to sort out lamps, virtual reality displays and clothes, among other products, and were taught to have an eco-friendly mindset in their day-to-day life.

Les Petits Frères des Pauvres

Les Petits Frères des Pauvres is a federation of volunteer-based non-profit organizations committed to relieving isolation and loneliness among the elderly. Through games and creativity, Adobe volunteers spent an entire afternoon with the elderly. They shared joyful moments around games, emotional talks, and a great party. “Leaving wasn’t easy, it was a very moving moment” recounted one of our employees.

Emmaüs Solidarité – La Sape

Emmaüs Solidarité accommodates and supports struggling individuals and families. La Sape is a place where residents can enjoy different workshops related to fashion and wellbeing, such as massages, a gym, sewing machines, and more.

Adobe volunteers were split into six small groups and learned to craft eco-responsible sponges, tote bags, boxes, cosmetic towels, and other eco-friendly and fun products. They also worked on how to present and market these products.

Ecole de la 2ème Chance

Les Ecoles de la 2ème Chance aims to insure unemployed youth are given the resources to find a professional career. Students had the opportunity to learn from Adobe employees who had plenty of great career advice. Through playful activities, they engaged in discussions about interviews, career paths, and more. “I really feel like we have all learned from each other” said one employee.

Emmaüs Ivry

Emmaüs Ivry is part of the 118 communities that form the Mouvement Emmaüs. They provide shelter and provide different activities to people in need, and exist through no subvention but only by selling recycled and recovered goods. The team of volunteers spent the day sorting out mountains of different objects (clothes, books, records, glasses, plates, etc.) and became aware of the incredible amount of goods that are thrown away every day, as well as of the perks of buying second-hand products.

We work hard to be a company that does good for those around us, and we could not be more proud of our employees!
