“I am so impressed with the technical accomplishments of these young women. At their age, I was doing nothing that compares.” This is just one of the numerous appreciatory comments I received from my fellow scientists after they interviewed the student-finalists of Adobe India Women in Technology 2020 Scholarship Program.

How it all began

The Adobe India Women in Technology Scholarship program started back in 2017 with the purpose of encouraging young women to pursue careers in technology. The scholarship has consistently helped us bring together the sharpest, most driven, diverse set of individuals and give them the freedom to nurture their intellectual curiosity. Through the program each year, we strive to discover top talent, recognize them with a financial award, and then offer them a potential opportunity through an internship and a senior-level technical mentorship.

The road to discovery

Now in its fourth year, the scholarship program has proven to be a strong driver of our #AdobeForAll commitment, attracting the finest talents from colleges across India. We conducted five rounds of reviewing, screening, deliberations and interviewing, and each finalist was reviewed by four independent technical specialists. Through this thorough selection process, the top five candidates were identified to be scholarship recipients. The rigorous road to be chosen a winner has shown us that we can discover talented young women technologists in almost every corner of India!
