How Adobe Romania is Creating Change in their Community

Here at Adobe our commitment to our employees and our community is unwavering. When it comes to solving social problems, we put our best people on it — our employees and partners. We invest in their solutions for positive change by donating money to the causes they care about, integrating their volunteer work and career development and much more.

Which is why we were so proud when ANIS (National Software Industry Association) recognized the efforts of our Adobe Romania team by awarding them CSR Program of the Year at their annual gala. On top of that, SOS Satele Copiilor (SOS Children’s Villages) also awarded the Adobe Romania team for their overall contribution towards social impact.

The Action Team in Romania is formed by employees working across different organizations of the company, where everybody can organize volunteer events all year round. Through this Action Team, in 2019 our employees have accomplished so much, including:

• Donating more than $61,000 to their community.
• Assembling more than 400 volunteers.
• Assisting more than 30 non-profit organizations.
• Organization 275 blood donors at Adobe Romania’s quarterly blood donation sessions.
• Volunteering at tree planting sessions, clothing drives, recycling events, and more.

“Adobe Romania is lucky to have a very involved Action Team and we are glad to see that recognized by the community and the industry. Their efforts working with non-profit organizations or organizing events where we can contribute, are highly cherished. We help out by volunteering, donating clothes, planting trees, or crafting art objects to raise donations. We believe that the steady practice of CSR is the way to build a sustainable society, lift up the communities where we live and work, and improve the health and sustainability of our environment” said Cris Radu, VP of Engineering for Digital Experience and Site Leader of Adobe Romania.

Since 1998 ANIS has set out to actively contribute to the development of the Romanian technology industry and to represent the interests of IT companies in the economic and political environment. Every year, the Association awards local IT companies for their extraordinary achievements. For many consecutive years, Adobe Romania has received the Software Product of the Year Award, and we’re thrilled to see our social impact work awarded now!
