At Adobe, we believe the future belongs to those that create, and it has never been more important to empower diverse voices to tell their stories and create positive change. In an homage to Women’s History Month and International Women’s Day, we are celebrating women in creativity today and everyday.

While it’s imperative to raise the profile of women during key cultural moments, just as important is to provide an ongoing platform and year-round opportunities for women. That’s why we’re proud to dedicate Wednesdays to women. In our Women Create Wednesday series, launched last year, we feature female-identifying women asking them to share career advice, how they stay inspired, and why it’s important to continue to champion women in creativity. We also brought this series to the 2020 Sundance Film Festival asking celebrities and filmmakers the same. Here’s what they had to say:

Fellowships and scholarships

Through our partnership with the Sundance Institute, we are honored to be able to support young filmmakers through the Sundance Ignite program and witness milestone moments like that of Ignite alum and Adobe Creativity Scholar Carol Nguyen, who had her short premiere at the Toronto Film Festival. Given the impact and success of that program, we extended our long-standing partnership with the Institute to include the inaugural Women at Sundance | Adobe Fellowship to help female filmmakers launch successful and sustainable careers. We’re excited to be the first-ever brand to create a women-focused fellowship with Sundance Institute, and we look forward to championing bold new work across diverse disciplines in film.

Additionally, we offer a number of scholarship opportunities for underrepresented communities—like women—across varied disciplines, including design, technology and more. Get all the details on the Adobe Creativity Scholarships, the Adobe Women-in-Technology Scholarships, and more here.

Adobe For All

Of course, there’s always more to be done and ways to create change but core to it is ensuring that we start with our people. At Adobe, we talk a lot about the actions each person can take to drive positive change. So this month, we’re asking our employees to share stories of women who inspire them on social media. Find more like the below using #CreateYourStory and #AdobeForAll.

Engaging our employees is just the tip of the iceberg. Hear from our head of diversity and inclusion, Katie Juran, on how we have continued to advance the representation and experience of our women around the world in the past year.
