Having been with Adobe for more than seven and a half years, I can proudly say that this company has made me who I am today: I’m more confident than ever before and every single day and minute at Adobe is amazing. Let me tell you about my journey to Adobe, my involvement in the Adobe India Runners Community, and my tips to relieve stress (and get fit) in this time of uncertainty.

Since starting at Adobe, it’s been a roller-coaster ride for me. The kind of culture we have here is always motivating and inspiring. In 2012, I started my Adobe journey in the Print and Publishing Business Unit. Within 2 years I got into the Adobe Media Server team, and in 2015, I got into the Adobe Primetime team as a Lead Tech Support Consultant. Having the opportunity to continually develop my career has been lifechanging and has truly allowed me to grow my skills.

Not only has the work been exciting, my involvement in the Adobe India Runners Community (AIR) has been a highlight as well. The community represents Adobe in various corporate marathons as well as renowned marathons such as Artel Delhi Marathon, and the Tata Mumbai Marathon. They have the most athletic people, and with such a diverse group, you always feel motivated. In 2018, I was around 88Kgs (194lbs) and within 6 months, I lost 18kg (40lbs) with the help of AIR and my gym partners like my wife Ankita, and my friend Zubair. Here is my recommendation on where to start.

Start off with at least two sets of these exercises, and gradually work up to doing more sets. Right now, I’m doing 20 push-ups, 30 squats, and a 1-minute plank in each set, 3 sets a day!

As we work from home, we spend a great amount of time in the same place. Listen to good, soothing music and performing these exercises will help to bring stress levels down. Regular exercise is necessary for both physical and mental health. There are vast amounts of exercises which can be performed at home, and the best part is we can do them at any time.

Home exercises are designed to be practical, accessible, and feasible so we can get the maximum benefit out of it. Once you start doing so, you will gradually build greater confidence in working out, and learn the potential of the human body. Keep playing, keep exercising, keep meditating, and stay safe. My motto is: “if our body is fit, then our work will be a hit!”
