New Features and Updates for Behance and Adobe Live
Helping the global creative community come together through inspiration, learning, and teaching.
During challenging times, such as these, it’s easy to focus on the ways we’ve been pulled apart. While design conferences, meet-ups, happy hours, and more are on hold for now, our community is finding ways to come together like never before.
Today, we want to share not only an exciting set of features added to our community products, besides updates to Adobe Creative Cloud apps, but also some growth numbers that show how much the community has pulled together.
- Our Behance community is currently the strongest it’s ever been: more than 21M creatives from around the world are now members, with a record-breaking number of you using the platform to share your work and get inspired by others.
- Adobe Live is seeing a huge boost in viewership, with live viewership on Behance more than doubling in the past few months.
- Plus, some creators are streaming live from Photoshop, Fresco and more, showing off their skills using our new live streaming feature that’s out now in beta. Folks have watched more than 4 million minutes of these streams just this quarter, and we look forward to opening it up to more people soon.
- It’s also important to note that at this time, when there is job uncertainty throughout the economy, Behance’s free jobs board currently has 1,300+ postings, and Adobe Portfolio is also currently free for 60 days.
On the product updates, there is some exciting news as well. For starters, Behance is getting image search, and Adobe Live is expanding its programming. Read on for more details on these announcements.
New on Behance: Image search to find the inspiration you’re looking for
Behance is an incredible platform for showcasing your work, and seeing the work of other creatives out there. Users have traditionally searched for inspiration by project; project names, categories, and keywords help you find what you’re looking for. But what if you’re looking for a specific style or visual element? Now, you’re able to type in your search query and have individual images pop up, without needing to sort through projects to find them.
Image search in Behance.
We’ve made search more powerful for photographers, especially. In addition to the new image search, you’re able to filter through visuals by camera, lens, exposure, and more. You’ll also be able search and find GIFs too.
Image search will also return GIF results.
New on Adobe Live: Creative Cloud product releases and so much more
Adobe Creative Cloud is launching new features and enhancements across many products, and we are excited to share all the ways we’re making collaboration, communication and co-creating with team members and stakeholders easier for you (especially at this time, when we’re relying on each at a distance) The best place to see these new features in action is on Adobe Live: we’ll be hosting tons of in-depth sessions and product reveals over the next two weeks.
We’re also continuing to expand our streaming content from the world’s top creators. Obviously, we can’t host them in our Adobe Live studios, so we’re hosting them virtually, patching them in to connect with you from their offices and living rooms, to yours. We’ve significantly boosted our streaming content from creators around the world, including more great programming in German, French, and from creators in the UK and the Asia-Pacific region as well.
Adobe Live goes mobile
The Creative Cloud mobile app has been the go-to way to manage your files, install fonts, view tutorials, and discover apps on the go. Now, you can also watch Adobe Live right from your mobile device, so you no longer need to be at your desk to get inspired by pros or to participate in chat. Take your creative hub with you wherever you go, and catch your favorite artists and designers both live and on-demand as they make great things on the Creative Cloud mobile app.
Creating and sharing as a global design community
We hope these latest developments across Behance and Adobe Live will provide even more value to you when it comes to creating great work and sharing it with the community. We’re working hard to make sure these platforms remain a safe, supportive place to be inspired and interact with others. While we may be physically distant right now, we are still very much connected. We can’t wait to see what you’ll create next!
At Adobe, we believe that everyone deserves respect and equal treatment, and we also stand with the Black community against hate, intolerance and racism. We will continue to support, elevate, and amplify diverse voices through our community of employees, creatives, customers and partners. We believe Adobe has a responsibility to drive change and ensure that every individual feels a sense of belonging and inclusion. We must stand up and speak out against racial inequality and injustice. Read more about the actions we’re taking to make lasting change inside and outside of our company.
We also know many people are still impacted by the current COVID-19 crisis and our thoughts are with you. The entire Adobe team wants to thank you, our customers, and all creators around the world for the work you do to keep us inspired during this difficult time.
