BuzzFeed, Adobe Partnership Might Just Be The Most Creative Ever

A first-of-its-kind summer ambassadorship program pairs BuzzFeed’s digital storytelling expertise with Adobe Creative Cloud apps.

Imagine taking your beyond-popular website – we’re talking as high as 520 million people worldwide per month popular – and putting it in the hands of a bunch of fresh-faced, Gen Z ambassadors. We can see the headlines now: “5 Sure Signs You’re Sabotaging Your Business” or maybe “Here’s What Your Home Page Will Look Like When You Let Interns Take Over.”

So who better to be doing exactly that than our innovative friends at BuzzFeed? In partnership with Adobe, the cultural institution and digital media giant has launched “Make the Feed,” an immersive summer ambassadorship program that will culminate in a two-day takeover of the BuzzFeed home page that showcases the work of 10 Gen Z ambassadors.

During the four-week program, the hand-picked creatives – ranging from animators and mixed media artists to comedians and journalists – will learn how to use four Adobe Creative Cloud apps – Photoshop, Lightroom, Premiere Pro, and Illustrator. They’ll use their new know-how to create signature BuzzFeed content, such as quizzes and lists, as well as videos, photography, illustrations, and animation. The ambassadors will also take generalist courses that tap into creativity and give them the tools to complete assigned projects.

In addition, by listening to and working with top talent from BuzzFeed, Adobe, and other industry leaders who come to speak during the “Make the Feed” program, the ambassadors will gain invaluable knowledge about the art of storytelling, the power of creativity, and the need for digital strategy to market their creations.

“There’s no better way to stay ahead of the curve than to work directly with the leaders of tomorrow in this first-of-its-kind program,” says Jake Bronstein, BuzzFeed’s head of partner innovation.

At the end of the program, the ambassadors content will go on full, public display, taking over BuzzFeed’s home page on September 1 and 2.

Ellen Vanderwilt, Adobe’s next gen marketing lead, says the company is excited to be part of the program, “to not only inspire young creators to express their vision with Adobe’s creativity tools, but also to give the next generation a platform to bring their stories to the world.”
