How Justine Philp is uplifting and empowering women

John Warnock and Chuck Geschke founded Adobe based on fundamental principles: Our people are our most important asset. Good ideas come from everywhere. Build a company where you’d want to work yourself.

More than three decades later, Adobe continues to invest in building a diverse and inclusive environment for our employees, customers, partners, and the tech industry as a whole. We call our vision Adobe For All, and we work toward these core beliefs every day.

The Adobe & Women Employee Network is for colleagues to share experiences, post links to relevant events and articles, ask questions, and spark dialogue and action to attract, develop, and engage our community of women at Adobe. Here’s what Justine Philp, ANZ site leader for our Adobe & Women employee network, had to share about the importance of Adobe & Women.

What are some of your main goals for the Adobe & Women Employee Network?

My objectives are around educating, elevating and celebrating women, with the long term aim to affect change and culture, and to help create and build out opportunities for women to grow both professionally and personally.

I’ve been fortunate and humbled by the opportunities at Adobe—because of Diversity & Inclusion—and I plan to continually pay it forward!

What impact does Adobe & Women have?

We constantly strive to provide material to help women and the broader network (including men, both internally and externally) to educate, elevate, accept and celebrate. We plan on kicking off an initiative called Adobe & Wonder Women, where we’ll be able to build on the solid foundation already created. Globally, the group has had significant impact within the D&I community, with a variety of programs and community engagements.

Why is it important to you?

I’ve been fortunate and humbled by all of the opportunities presented to me at, and during my 5+ years at Adobe. My life has been significantly impacted by this company, culture and empowering employee network. It’s because of this that I want to help continue building a diverse and inclusive workplace for future hires and customers.

What is the biggest opportunity for Adobe & Women?

It’s hard for me to narrow it down to one thing because there’s always opportunity to make an impact. There are so many initiatives we’re working on, all around diversity & inclusion, equality, parity, supporting education, and even affecting broader business goals. There are only exciting times ahead! To continue to support and drive diversity, equality and parity, we’re also constantly supporting our customers, building on the Adobe & Women Leaders program – D.I.S.H. (Digital. Insights. Strategy. Help) from just 6 customers in 2019 to over 200 customer contacts in 2020 to help with brand advocacy, stickiness and talent opportunities.
