Adobe MAX 2020 - by the numbers
2020 has been a year of firsts for the Adobe MAX team. We organized and launched the first all-digital, truly global MAX, and this is the first time all of the event’s content has been made available free of charge. It was an incredible success.
“In this moment, creativity is more important than ever, and we were thrilled to be able to connect with the creative community from around the globe,” said Alex Amado, Adobe’s VP of experience marketing.
The event did resonate with our community; MAX 2020 saw more than 21 million total video views across all channels, over 2.2 million visits to the event site on adobe.com, plus more than 50 million social interactions. If you missed it, don’t worry — you can still experience this global celebration of creativity by viewing the majority of sessions on-demand, and you can watch them now. The top 5 most popular MAX sessions include:
- Photoshop for Beginners and Users Who Need a Refresher: Part 1, Dave Cross
- Quick Tips for Creating the Most Engaging Social Media Videos, Amber Torrealba
- Introduction to Logo and Text Animation in After Effects: Part 1, Eran Stern
- Telling a Story in 60 Seconds or Less: Making Kick-Ass Social Videos: Part 1, Amber Torrealba
- InDesign Type and Layout Part 1: Structure and Hierarchies, Nigel French
It was a huge undertaking made possible by hundreds of Adobe employees working hard behind the scenes. In total, MAX 2020 provided more than 11 days of content, with 481 speakers, including more than 50 global celebrity speakers and musical performances and 464 sessions, labs and workshops to choose from. We also welcomed 102 sponsors who helped to make it all possible.
While we missed being together in person, we’re thrilled that so many of you were able to take part and join the MAX community. That includes those who participated in the MAX CoCreate program. This year Adobe hired creators from the community to design for MAX. We received nearly 2,000 applications from 90 countries, resulting in nearly 60 creators developing exceptional artwork to support MAX. From digital posters to engaging animations to MAX playlists to daily MAX schedules and video call backgrounds, we were blown away by the work from the MAX community.
With so much content to soak in, we hope you were able to gain new skills and inspiration to apply to your own creative process. At the end of the day, it’s all about the desire to create.
