The Adobe Experience Cloud communications team is happy to announce that we’ve been awarded “Best PR Campaign,” for our efforts around the Adobe Digital Economy Index, in The Drum’s annual B2B awards. We are proud that The Drum, a global media platform, considered us alongside other innovative brands such as Budweiser Brewing Group, Diageo, and others.
The DEI is a group effort between Adobe communications and our marketing and customer insights team. It came about as an extension of our annual holiday online shopping predictions program. At Adobe, we’ve been measuring holiday online shopping trends for almost a decade. We use Adobe Analytics to analyze data from 80 of the top 100 retailers in the United States and then present that data to the world in two parts.
Every year we publish our holiday shopping predictions, uncovering key trends brands, retailers and consumers can expect leading into the holiday season. This is followed by an actuals microsite that shows the data points, such as total online spend, for example. The actuals microsite is updated daily.
We’re confident when we say that our annual holiday predictions report and actuals data is key to predicting and analyzing e-commerce trends such as best days to shop and top gift purchases. The data has become an important asset to retailers and the media, which are both looking for insights and trends, especially for key days such as Black Friday and Cyber Monday.
According to CNBC, “Adobe is now the official tracker of retail sales.”
MarCom Platinum Award for Adobe Summit 2020
Since 2004, the MarCom awards has been honoring excellence in marketing and communication while recognizing the creativity and hard work of industry professionals. The DEI received the Platinum Marcom Award in the category of “Best Research/Study,” and the Adobe Experience Cloud PR team received the Platinum Award for “PR/Communications Team of the Year.” Adobe Summit — our digital experience conference — received MarCom’s highest accolade, the Platinum award, in the category of Best Live/Virtual Event.
For over a decade we’ve hosted our customers, partners, community, press, and analysts at Adobe Summit. The event takes an immense amount of work from teams across Adobe. With COVID-19, the teams at Adobe had to shift from an in-person event in Las Vegas with 23,000 people, to an all-digital event experienced by millions. And we did it in less than a month.
As is true for all of us, 2020 has been challenging to say the least. But our teams came together to deliver perhaps some of our best work ever for our customers, and we’re honored to be recognized for these efforts.
