Adobe JELA provides software licenses to Department of Defense employees
As government agencies continue to improve how they operate and communicate during the COVID-19 pandemic, the Department of Defense has a unique agreement that allows employees in different agencies and service branches to get Adobe licenses to Adobe Document Cloud and Adobe Experience Manager Forms at no additional cost, and favorable pricing for other Adobe products including Adobe Creative Cloud, Adobe Print and Publishing products, Adobe Digital Rights Management, and Adobe Connect.
What makes this possible is the Adobe Joint Enterprise License Agreement (JELA).
Under the terms in JELA, members of the U.S. Army, U.S Air Force, Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD) Joint Service Provider (JSP), Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS), Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA), Defense Health Agency (DHA), and Defense Microelectronics Activity (DMEA) have greater access to important Adobe solutions.
What is the benefit of JELA for the DoD?
Using Adobe’s enterprise platform for digital work, service members and civilian employees can communicate and collaborate with greater ease.
JELA is designed to remove the barriers to getting started with Adobe solutions. To request access, call us at 1-800-87ADOBE or email us at jela@adobe.com
The Adobe Joint Enterprise License Agreement is a multi-year contract that uses the buying power of 1.6 million DoD personnel (within the Army, Air Force, DISA, OSD JSP, JCS, , DCMA, DMEA, and DHA) to offer cost savings, improve interoperability, expand collaboration, enhance document services, and extend publishing and creative capabilities.
After downloading authorized Adobe apps from the JELA portal, employees can create, customize and share documents and forms, as well as use templates. Adobe solutions streamline day-to-day processes, creating a consistent and efficient user experience.
Streamline and personalize your recruitment
Recruiters are using Adobe Experience Manager Forms to target specific audiences and personalize responses based on candidate interests and backgrounds.
By creating digital workflows or processes, you can accelerate the qualification and review process by making sure every step is completed.
Make onboarding and service enrollment easier
With dozens of documents and forms required for every new hire, human resources personnel are using Adobe to minimize paperwork. Employees simply follow the onboarding checklist, creating a positive first impression while saving time and money.
Improve digital document distribution
In your agency or department, you may have a committee that needs to have multiple people review and revise a document. However, due to COVID-19 and other factors, not everyone is in a location with paper, printers, or computers. By distributing documents electronically using Adobe Acrobat Pro, recipients can add comments, edit documents and route them to the next person.
Adding Adobe Sign (not available under JELA, but available via other acquisition vehicles) allows people on your team to collect legally binding electronic signatures from anyone around the world.
The benefit to using the same secure Adobe software throughout your team is that applications, reviews and other processes are much easier and more efficient.
JELA provides access to Adobe solutions that can help your entire organization
With a single pathway to the latest Adobe software, you will be able to easily access software to create eye-catching communications materials, protect sensitive information and better manage paperwork while increasing productivity and reducing costs.
The subscription-based contract makes it easier for you to access the most recent version of the programs you need whenever you want it.
Here are just a few applications that civilian and military personnel will be able to take advantage of as part of this agreement:
- Adobe Experience Manager Forms (AEM): The DoD handles countless forms every day, by streamlining these services, the department can better serve service members and their families. With AEM forms, the DoD can standardize form creation and management, which means reducing paperwork, improving response times, increasing efficiencies, and, most importantly, reducing costs. AEM Forms’ digital data capture technology allows personnel to create and manage forms across any medium, such as websites, mobile devices, and apps. For example, recruiting officials will be able to use this software to digitally capture information about potential recruits.
- Adobe Acrobat Document Cloud: Adobe Acrobat DC can help you create stunning marketing products, manage review and approval processes, as well as publishing recruitment or mission critical content on both desktops and mobile devices. In addition, you can use your PKI credentials to electronically sign documents, providing a more secure, faster, and paperless signature process.
- Adobe Creative Cloud: In today’s social-media-driven landscape, people are obtaining more and more information via video. With Adobe Creative Cloud, you can produce professional quality video to support mission-critical assignments and inform the public in a timely and accurate manner. Additionally, Creative Cloud can help agencies like Defense Media Activity tell stories across multiple mediums.
