In our latest release of the Adobe Photography applications we are excited to introduce Premium Presets. Presets are a cool, one-click way to elevate your photo with a great look, but presets are only as good as the people creating them. These Premium Presets are meticulously crafted by a diverse group of extraordinary, renowned photographers. The initial set of Premium Presets includes seven preset packs, each containing 10 to 15 high quality presets. Best of all, we’ll continue to expand the collection of Premium Presets in future releases! Let’s meet the talented people who have created our first batch of Premium Presets.

Portraits: Deep Skin

This preset pack contains 15 presets which work well for photos of people with deep skin tones. These presets were created by Laylah Amatullah Barrayn, a documentary photographer with 20 years of experience. A frequent contributor to The New York Times, her work has also appeared in Le Monde, National Geographic, Vogue, Vanity Fair, and The Wall Street Journal. She has exhibited nationally and internationally. She is a member of Kamoinge, a pioneering collective of African American photographers founded in 1963 and is a co-author of the book MFON: Women Photographers of the African Diaspora

Portraits: Medium Skin

This preset pack contains 11 presets which work well for photos of people with medium skin tones. The presets were created by Dario Calmese. Sitting at the nexus of art, fashion, and academia, Dario received his Masters in Fine Arts degree in photography from the School of Visual Arts and a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Rockhurst University. In 2020 he made history as the first Black photographer to photograph a cover for Vanity Fair with his portrait of Oscar-winning actress, Viola Davis. Dario serves on the global advisory board for Estee Lauder Companies and is a professor at The New School’s Parson’s School of Design in New York City. He is currently a NYC Urban Design Forum Fellow and his show direction for the fashion brand Pyer Moss has been consistently hailed in Vogue and The New York Times as the “best show of Fashion Month.”

Portraits: Light Skin

This preset pack contains 11 presets which work well for photos of people with light skin tones. The presets were created by Summer Murdock. A Salt Lake City, Utah based photographer, Summer is a commercial photographer and photography educator who specializes in children, lifestyle, and portraiture. She is inspired by the quirky stuff kids do, weird and wonderful human connections, pretty light, and the great outdoors. Utah and all of its amazing landscapes is the perfect place for Summer to merge these elements in her work. As an intuitive mom of four children of her own, she’s a pro at walking into tough, high-pressure situations with less than cooperative kids and making her client’s vision come to life. When she isn’t photographing, she’s running and teaching at the online photography school she co-founded.

Cinematic

Hard to describe, but we know it when we see it, the 10 presets in this pack can be used to create a look that evokes the feeling of the big screen. These presets were created by Nikk La.
