When interns join Adobe, they get to experience firsthand how our game-changing innovations are redefining the possibilities of digital experiences. We connect content and data and introduce new technologies that democratize creativity, shape the next generation of storytelling, and inspire entirely new categories of business.

When we set out to launch our second virtual internship program, our goal was to create an exceptional experience. And this year, we were proud to open our (virtual) doors to more than 1,100 interns globally—our largest cohort ever! From community building events to meeting our CEO, here’s what our interns experienced this year from our award-winning program.

Take your career wherever you want it

As an Adobe Intern, you’ll put your smarts and creativity to work on business-critical projects, you’ll be mentored by the top talents in your field, and you’ll get all the credit when you dream up our next big thing. In fact, many of our interns become patent inventors during their time at Adobe.

This year, we highlighted our interns’ innovation through our largest Intern Project Expo ever. Through an online portal, interns from all over the world got to upload their projects to the Expo, where employees could view and comment on. From solving exciting marketing challenges and building new cutting-edge features, to implementing innovative processes, and more, we got to see firsthand how our interns contributed to the company for long lasting impact.

“I look at my research mentor and other people I'm surrounded by at Adobe, and I see my dream is very much possible. With a PhD, often the options you have are to be a professor or to launch a startup. I don’t necessarily want to teach, and building a business doesn't spark my fire. Adobe has shown me that my dream has legs, so I'm fired up to keep spreading in that direction.”

Fostering future leaders

We firmly believe that our future depends on talented students. When students join Adobe as an intern, they get to work side by side with the tech industry’s biggest thinkers and innovators to change the world through digital experiences. Although many of our interns are just starting out on their career journey, we equip them with the skills necessary to be a leader. We accomplished this by hosting intimate Q&A sessions with our executives, such as our CEO, Shantanu Narayen, our chief product officer, Scott Belsky, our CHRO, Gloria Chen, and more. We also held learning sessions hosted by our Talent Development team. In these sessions, we taught interns how to put Adobe’s Leadership Capabilities into action, and more. Not only that, but interns got to experience our 2-day Adobe Intern Summit, which consisted of inspiring keynotes, hands-on product demos, and impactful breakout sessions.

“Wow! It has been an inspiring two days of learning at Adobe’s Intern Summit. I am beyond grateful to all of the speakers who shared their moving stories and sincere wisdom with us. It is incredible to work for a company whose leadership cares so much about its employees (and interns!). Adobe is somewhere I can bring my authentic self to every day, and I am so thankful for that.”

Building connections

We know that with a virtual program, building connections have never been more important. To facilitate stronger bonds for our interns, we had a mix of fun and impactful events. This included our Employee Network Intern Buddy program, virtual chocolate making, online sculpting classes, assigning organizational champions, and more. Through these events and programs, we made sure interns got to bond with each other, and had buddies who could help navigate their transition from campus to Adobe Life.

“To date, my internship experience at Adobe has been the highlight of my professional career. It’s been 12 weeks of learning, relationship building, and inspiration. If you’re considering applying, I highly encourage it. From the intern activities to the company culture, Adobe is the perfect place to begin or continue your career.”

As our interns return to university, we hope that we were able to create an exceptional experience for them. We’re so excited to see how they will continue to leverage their new skills, and how they will create the future. Adobe’s intern recruiting cycle starts again in the Fall, so come learn, grow, have fun, and make memories—and leave with experience that will make you unstoppable in whatever you want to do next.
