Adobe celebrates Cybersecurity Awareness Month
Today marks the official start to Cybersecurity Awareness Month. At Adobe, we’re excited to kick off our annual tradition celebrating the month filled with events and engaging activities to help further educate our employees on staying safe online, especially with the hybrid work environment.
Each year, we look forward to celebrating Cybersecurity Awareness Month and engaging with our employees on what it means to #BeCyberSmart, which gives us a chance to highlight our ongoing security efforts along with some best practices to help our employees to stay safer online. This month, we have an exciting agenda of speakers, including internal and external guests, who will discuss topics that are extremely relevant in the cybersecurity space, helping employees better understand the ever-changing security landscape and become more security-savvy at work and home.
This being my first Cybersecurity Awareness Month with Adobe, I am thrilled to celebrate with my colleagues and can’t wait to take part in this year’s events and hear some of the exciting sessions we have in store for the month.
Our lineup for employees includes:
- A Look into Balancing Offensive and Defensive Security: The Vulnerability Labs team at Adobe will host a session offering an inside look into how offensive and defensive security teams work together, including the path to building an internal ‘hacking’ team also known in the industry as ‘red teams’ to help organizations catch top potential threats.
- How to Spot and Avoid Ransomware: Employees can learn more about what ransomware is, why and how hackers use this type of attack, and tips on avoiding this type of cybersecurity threat.
- Increasing Home Network Security: This session features Adobe’s security architect, Jason Joy, providing tips on how employees can best protect home networks, which is especially relevant in this hybrid work environment.
- Inside Look with FBI Special Agent – Industry Cyber Trends: An FBI agent will be talking exclusively with Adobe employees about high-profile cyber security incidents, examples of cybercriminals, and how to best protect against cybersecurity risks.
- We’ll also be hosting more technical talks offering a more in-depth look into topics top of mind for the Adobe Security team, such as threat modeling and trends throughout the industry.
The Cybersecurity Awareness Month events will be hosted virtually and available to our global network of employees.
In addition to these important events during October, we are also encouraging Adobe employees to participate in additional security awareness activities year-round, showcasing how to enhance protection for Adobe and our users.
The past year has shown us that cybersecurity can change in the blink of an eye. Therefore, it’s imperative that we continually raise awareness about these ongoing security trends and maintain our incredibly strong security culture at Adobe.
