All new, AI-powered Creative Cloud release and pricing update
Today marks a new era of creativity for all for Adobe Creative Cloud members with AI built into the fabric of their workflows, and the promise of new creative magic with the availability of Adobe Firefly and Adobe Express.
AI innovation is most powerful in the hands of creators, deeply integrated into the applications they use every day to bring their ideas to life. We are blown away by the amazing content that the creative community produced during the betas of Generative Fill and Generative Expand in Adobe Photoshop, Generative Recolor in Illustrator and Text to Image and Text Effects in Adobe Express. Nearly 6 billion assets have been generated with Adobe Firefly across Creative Cloud tools since Firefly was introduced, with over 3.5 billion being in Photoshop alone. We’re thrilled that these capabilities are now generally available to all Creative Cloud subscribers. This is just the beginning of how generative AI can co-pilot your creative workflows, and we will continue to bring Firefly-powered features into Creative Cloud for photography, design, video, 3D and more.
During the beta, creatives around the world have generated billions of assets with Adobe Firefly.
Your Creative Cloud membership now also includes two new applications: Adobe Express Premium and Adobe Firefly. Adobe Firefly, now at firefly.adobe.com, is your new playground for exploring AI-assisted creative expression. Adobe Firefly helps you ideate, create — and simply save time — whether you’re iterating concepts for a storyboard, extending backgrounds of images, or exploring color combinations. Adobe Express Premium is the all-in-one creativity app, with new generative AI Text to Image and Text Effects features that make it even faster and easier to design and share standout social media posts, videos, images, PDFs, flyers, logos and more. With seamless workflows with Photoshop and Illustrator, Express is the perfect complement to Creative Cloud.
With Generative Fill in Adobe Photoshop, powered by Adobe Firefly, you can add, remove, or replace objects in images using simple text prompts.
We want you to play, experiment, dream and create the extraordinary using the new generative AI technology now at your fingertips across Creative Cloud. To enable broad access to and adoption of generative AI workflows, we are pioneering a new credit-based model across all Creative Cloud subscription plans. Starting today, Creative Cloud, Firefly, and Express paid plans now include a monthly allocation of “fast” Generative Credits, which are like tokens that enable subscribers to turn a text-based prompt into image and vector content in Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Express and Firefly. After the plan-specific number of “fast” Generative Credits is consumed, subscribers can continue to generate content at slower speeds, or buy additional Generative Credits through a Firefly paid subscription plan. Starting November 2023, Adobe plans for users to be able to purchase additional Generative Credits through a new subscription plan, starting at $4.99/month for 100 Credits.
Generative Expand in Adobe Photoshop, powered by Adobe Firefly, enables you to expand and resize images using the Crop tool and AI-generated content.
With Generative Recolor in Adobe Illustrator, powered by Adobe Firefly, you can explore color palettes and themes with simple text prompts.
Over the last 18 months, we’ve unlocked an unprecedented number of creative capabilities including Denoise in Lightroom, Frame.io for Creative Cloud in Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects, and Share for Review in Photoshop and Illustrator, workflow enhancements and new products to expand the value of your subscription. To reflect the increased value that we have already delivered to our members and given new costs associated with producing generative AI content, today we’re announcing price updates for our individual and business offerings. Starting November 1, 2023, the price of specific Creative Cloud plans will increase in North America, Central America, South America and Europe.
We’re committed to delivering the best creative tools, services and value to our members so you can keep pushing the bounds of creativity. To get started with all of the new value in Creative Cloud, you can update your apps to get access to all the new AI-powered features in Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, and After Effects, or visit the new Adobe Firefly web app to start creating content with generative AI or Adobe Express to create content and use the new Text to Image and Text Effects features.

New Creative Cloud innovation
- Creative generative AI in Photoshop and Illustrator. Adobe Firefly-powered features are now available in several Creative Cloud apps, including Generative Fill and Generative Expand in Photoshop, Generative Recolor in Illustrator. These features put more creative power at your fingertips than ever before, enabling you to experiment, ideate, and create in completely new ways.
- New AI features in Premiere Pro. New features and improvements to Premiere Pro are available now in beta. The award-winning new Text-Based Editing is getting a major update with automatic filler word detection. The new Enhance Speech feature magically removes noise from voice recordings with a single click, using AI to make poorly recorded dialogue sound as if it was recorded in a professional studio. And, Premiere Pro’s timeline is now up to 5x faster, making editing, trimming, and more both smoother and more responsive. This is in addition to dozens of improvements that our community has asked for, including new simplified color preferences, improved tone mapping, new project templates, custom export locations, audio type tagging, and so much more.
- 3D workspace and Roto Brush in After Effects. Available now in the After Effects beta app is a new 3D workspace that lets you import, texture, light, shade, and render high-quality 3D models right inside of After Effects. With the new 3D workspace, you can combine 3D models with 2D graphics to create seamless VFX composites and eye-popping motion graphics. A new, AI-enhanced Roto Brush is now available in the After Effects beta app, enabling users to cut out objects from footage faster and more accurately than ever.
- New Firefly web application. Creative Cloud members now have access to the new Firefly web application, available at firefly.adobe.com. With Firefly, you can quickly create ideas and content for any project, like images for mood boards, characters for storyboards, color palettes for brand designs, and so much more. Firefly supports text prompts in more than 100 global languages, and any content you create with Firefly can be used for commercial purposes.
- New Adobe Express Premium application. Also included in most Creative Cloud plans is the all-new Adobe Express Premium, including the new, commercially available Text to Image and Text Effects features. With Adobe Express Premium, Creative Cloud members can easily access, edit and work with creative assets from Photoshop and Illustrator directly, or add linked files into Express that always stay in sync across apps. Users can also import and enhance PDFs quickly and easily in Express, adding eye-catching text, images, backgrounds, brand logos and more to uplevel any document. Express enables users to collaborate in real-time, and quickly create content for social media or concept approval, all while empowering teams to stay on brand.
