This month, Cybersecurity Awareness Month (CAM) is celebrating its 20th anniversary and kicking off a global effort to help everyone stay safe and protected when using technology whenever and however they connect. This milestone anniversary, observed in conjunction with the Cybersecurity & Infrastructure Security Agency and the National Cyber Security Alliance, presents the ideal moment to reflect on how far we’ve come and how much more we can accomplish.

Safeguarding data is everyone’s job. In addition to ongoing security education and training, we dedicate this time at Adobe to engage our employees globally so they may learn about Adobe’s ongoing cybersecurity initiatives as well as integrate important security best practices into their daily routines. It’s important to reflect on how we can keep ourselves secure at home, work, and everywhere in between.

As the cybersecurity landscape evolves at a record-breaking pace, we’re committed to keeping our teams and employees educated on the latest trends and tactics to heighten our protections, including what we can do to keep Adobe and the broader industry more secure.

We are engaging employees across all levels and functions of the company to promote the importance of security awareness and prepare them with tools they need to minimize risk. Employees are invited to participate in a number of activities featuring our very own experts, renowned industry guests, and new educational programs covering the latest tips to avoid online threats.

The festivities will be held virtually for our employees; a few themes include:

Quote by Maarten Van Horenbeeck, Chief Security Officer at Adobe: “We commemorate Cybersecurity Awareness Month not only in October but throughout the year, dedicating time to ongoing training and learning opportunities for our employees. Awareness and culture are the forefront of our mission to uphold the trust of our employees and customers.”

“The long-standing history of cybersecurity provides a wealth of knowledge we have learned and improved from. Understanding where we started should be regularly revisited, so today’s leaders and experts can continue to learn from experiences and strengthen processes. The tactics and techniques of cybercriminals and bad actors continue to advance at a rapid pace pushing us to be even more diligent," said Maarten Van Horenbeeck, Chief Security Officer at Adobe. "We commemorate Cybersecurity Awareness Month not only in October but throughout the year, dedicating time to ongoing training and learning opportunities for our employees. Awareness and culture are the forefront of our mission to uphold the trust of our employees and customers.”

Moving the needle in our communities

In addition to internal events, we are committed to making a difference in our community to develop and build a more diverse pipeline for cybersecurity talent. We partner with educational university programs like Bowie State University and non-profit organizations like Women in Cybersecurity, BlackGirlsHack, CyberPeace Institute and Executive Women’s Forum .
