In the bustling realm of the 21st century, the quest for efficiency is relentless. Companies across sectors are harnessing technology to stay ahead of the curve, reinventing processes, and redefining customer experiences. One name echoing these sentiments in the property management sector is BeHome247, steered by the visionary VP of Engineering, Gonzalo Arreche.
Gonzalo's journey with BeHome247 began with a single observation: property managers were drowning in paperwork. The manual process of signing contracts, especially for vacation rentals, was cumbersome and outdated. Imagine property managers facing weekends with an overwhelming 700 check-ins that all require multiple signatures for contracts, credit card charges, releases and more. The inefficiency was tremendous. For someone with a background in engineering like Arreche, this system seemed archaic. It was evident that the sector was ripe for innovation.
Making the move to digital
Having been an Adobe user for many years, Arreche knew that Adobe’s e-signature solution offered what he needed. Arreche turned to Adobe Acrobat Sign, not just to transition to a digital signature system but to transform the entire contract management process. The ultimate goal was to be able to instantaneously send contracts for e-signatures as soon as a reservation was made. The age of waiting, mailing, and manual signing was over.
BeHome247's innovation journey was multi-faceted. It started with using the Acrobat Sign API to integrate e-signatures with their proprietary operational platforms. Once a reservation is received, the integration enables a contract to be digitally sent out to the renter for signature. Then once it is returned, automation enables them to extract information the renter provides and update their operational systems, saving a lot of manual input work. This is all done handily with the APIs.
Further, given the varied nature of their properties and operating regions, Arreche introduced dynamic contracts — a breed of contracts that caters to the specific traits of properties and the unique requirements of renters. Specifically, certain sections depend on the state, the property, the date of year, the type of reservation/lease and more. Using rules and sections with the Acrobat Sign editor and the API, this customization means that renters receive contracts tailored for them. This personalization and instant delivery has resulted in contracts typically being signed within a day, a process that previously took many days to weeks.
