Adobe celebrates 2024 ACE Eddie and Oscar winners and nominees

Each year, the American Cinema Editors (ACE) (March 3, Los Angeles) and Academy Awards (March 10, Los Angeles) honor the best in TV and feature film editing. Adobe is extending a well-deserved congratulations to all of the incredible nominees and winners this year.

Academy Awards
“The Eternal Memory”
Nominated for in the Documentary Feature Film category, “The Eternal Memory” tells a story about love, resilience, and patience. Edited by Carolina Siraqyan, this heart wrenching documentary was created in Adobe Premiere Pro.

“To Kill a Tiger”
Nominated for Best Documentary, the film takes an unflinching look at gender violence in India and one resilient family’s fight to have their day in court. Editor Mike Munn and post production coordinator/assistant editor Pranay Nichani used Premiere Pro and tools like Text-Based Editing to collaborate and streamline their workflow.

ACE Eddie Awards
FX’s “The Bear”
Award-winning episodes, “Fishes” and “Forks” were both nominated in the Best Edited Single Camera Comedy Series category, with “Fishes” winning the category. Watch how Emmy-winning editor Joanna Naugle, ACE, editor Adam Epstein, ACE and assistant editor Megan Mancini created these episodes and brought the intense, fast-paced world of the restaurant industry to life with Premiere Pro and Frame.io below.
Behind the Edit of FX's The Bear
HBO’s “Albert Brooks Defending My Life”
Nominated in the Best Edited Documentary (non-theatrical) category, editor Bob Joyce crafted the comedic documentary using Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects and Adobe Photoshop . “The ability to use mixed formats, varied frame rates and aspect ratios in the same sequence made Premiere Pro the best editing platform for the documentary,” Joyce writes.
