When meeting Madison Riddolls in person, there’s a good chance that she’ll have a scrunchie in her hair or on her wrist. It’s not surprising. Her love of hair accessories inspired her to create her own brand, Flirty Pineapple.

“I love how a fun hair accessory can make you feel really good about your outfit, and even good about yourself,” says Riddolls. “I always had problems finding scrunchies that held my hair securely. I wanted to create something better.”

Today, Flirty Pineapple sells a variety of hair accessories, from scrunchies and headbands to hair clips and barrettes. Even as the brand grows, Riddolls remains at the center of the business, handling design, marketing, distribution, and even fulfillment almost entirely by herself. Time is everything for this one-woman operation, as every minute she saves means one more thing she can check off her to-do list.

Riddolls embraces Adobe Acrobat to handle documents faster, from contracts to research to design. The real game-changer came when she discovered how Acrobat AI Assistant accelerates every task, giving her more time to put back into other areas of her company.

“I truly appreciate things that make my life easier, happier, and more fulfilled,” says Riddolls. “Acrobat and especially Acrobat AI Assistant save me an hour or two every day. I do more for my business while taking better care of myself.”

Learning with generative AI

As the owner of a small business, Riddolls has learned to invest in support from experts, such as accountants and photographers. But for the most part, she tries to save resources by doing as much as she can herself.

When Riddolls first started Flirty Pineapple, she didn’t know much about running a business, but lack of experience didn’t stop her. She began reading everything she could, from studying basic business topics such as taxes and manufacturing to browsing inspiring information about social media trends or hair care.

Using Generative summary, Riddolls learns more in less time. She simply uploads a document and with just one click, creates a summary of key points to quickly understand what the document is about. A single click on one of the response’s citations brings her directly to the corresponding part of the text so that she can dig deeper into a topic of interest. Instead of spending hours reading through market reports, she can now use a PDF summarizer to determine whether it has information she needs to know.

“I’m up to 50 percent more efficient with AI Assistant,” says Riddolls. “I can absorb a lot more information to inspire my work and teach me to run my business more efficiently.”

Writing blogs in a fraction of the time

AI Assistant also helps Riddolls turn document summaries into professional text. As part of a recent company rebrand, Riddolls decided to update her blog more frequently to increase SEO rankings and boost organic traffic. Part of the strategy relies upon using document AI to help her write posts faster. For example, she created a blog post describing the rebrand by opening her brand guidelines in Acrobat and asking AI Assistant to write a short blog post that summarizes the rebrand effort. In seconds, she had a post ready to review, personalize, and post.

“I can draft a blog post in two minutes rather than spend three hours writing it from scratch,” says Riddolls. “This means I can keep up with my posting scheduling without taking time away from other important tasks like fulfilling orders.”

Managing business anywhere

One of the things that impresses Riddolls most about Acrobat is that she can accomplish a lot with one app. She uses it to view and sign contracts for partnerships, model release forms, and contractor agreements. She uses the commenting tools to make notes directly in the PDF when adjusting designs with manufacturers. The app even serves as a place for inspiration, as she can add and rearrange elements to create moodboards for new collections.

Most importantly, she can work on the go. Whether Riddolls is sitting in her office, working in her workshop, or walking the dog, she can open documents on whatever computer, tablet, or smartphone is closest to her.

“I’ve never felt more efficient or calm when it comes to my business because I'm able to manage everything in one place — and on the go,” says Riddolls.

Doing more for a small business

The speed and efficiency that Riddolls gains with Acrobat has cascading effects. Not only is she saving time on tasks, but since she can work faster, she’s not putting off work until later. She can sign a contract, review a file from her accountant, or update her blog in minutes before moving on with her day.

“Time is invaluable for a small business owner,” says Riddolls. “Acrobat and AI Assistant save me time that I can invest in growing my business and the Flirty Pineapple community.”
