Introducing Project Concept: Creativity starts here

Today we are thrilled to introduce Project Concept, a new AI-first product that transforms the early stages of every creative journey. Project Concept also features the very latest capabilities from Adobe’s Firefly Generative AI models to help you rapidly explore potential artistic directions, mix images together, transform regions of an asset, and remix styles, backgrounds, and other ingredient assets.

You can start a project using your own assets or other sources of inspiration. Project Concept then uses AI and collaborative tools to assist with both divergent thinking, illuminating the far-reaching possibilities of any creative project, and convergent thinking to bring ideas together, apply controls, and ultimately select the final direction to go with.

Generative AI has already significantly enhanced the workflow of content creators across the Creative Cloud ecosystem, whether they work in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, or Adobe Premiere Pro. But when talking to our community of customers around the world, we learned that generative AI’s prompt-based approach requires users to have a clear idea of what they want before they actually know what they’re looking for. This can be limiting at the start of the creative journey, when you often want to explore ideas freely without constraints. Project Concept addresses this challenge with a new generation of controls optimized for the very start of every creative project.

It all starts with an idea, as for where it takes you...

Project Concept empowers creators of all levels to explore and brainstorm ideas by bringing together their inspiration — whether it be mood boarding elements, stock assets, or newly generated assets — with their own work and brand assets.

Users then embark on a wild and imaginative journey of remixing images in real-time, capturing a scene or object or idea you come across and applying it to another asset or idea you have, and leveraging controls such as style and structure reference to achieve whatever’s in your mind’s eye.

Project Concept is multiplayer, collaborative, and will be integrated with Adobe Creative Cloud making workflows with Photoshop, Illustrator, or Adobe Express seamless. Project Concept will also respect the work of artists by leveraging Content Credentials technology to properly recognize the source of images, respect generative AI usage and training preferences, and promote transparency for how content was created. Adobe’s Firefly generative AI models were also trained responsibly on content that Adobe has a license to train on.
