Adobe Security Recap: 2024 Ambassador World Cup Final Four

Adobe’s Bug Bounty program has continually evolved, scaling to foster a culture of collaboration and partnership with the security and hacker community. From our Vulnerability Disclosure Program (VDP) to our private and public bug bounty programs, Adobe has actively engaged with security researchers to enhance the security of our products and help protect our customers. As a core part of this mission, we continue to harness the power of the ethical hacker community by participating in live hacking events, campaigns, conferences, and podcasts throughout the year. These efforts help us deepen our collaboration and expand opportunities for security researchers.
Two years ago, we participated in the final round of the 2023 Ambassador World Cup (AWC). Last month, Adobe participated in the final round of the 2024 Ambassador World Cup (AWC) championship. This live hacking event, hosted by HackerOne, consists of a year-long, competition-driven way to build engagement and collaboration with the global hacker community. The AWC allows teams of hackers worldwide to identify impactful vulnerabilities in participating customer programs, including this year’s participants Adobe, AWS, and OKX.
This year, the AWC started out with 42 teams and 763 hackers from 38 different countries. In the final round, four teams of 80 hackers from Egypt, Spain, Netherlands, and Greece, competed in the championship round submitting valid submissions on in-scope assets.
The following Adobe products participated in the competition:
- Adobe Target
- Adobe Express
- Adobe Firefly
- Adobe Campaign
- Adobe Stock
- Adobe Lightroom Web
In each round, participating companies receive an increase in new, fresh hacker engagement to drive high-signal traffic to the program’s approved scope. The benefits include dedicated focus on programs from the best hackers in the world, designed to extend attack resistance measures. This event also provided an opportunity to become more ingrained with the global community, create essential partnerships, and build new connections that continue beyond the competition.
Key highlights of Ambassador World Cup 2025
The event was a great success with Adobe receiving over 180 submissions from over 80 world-class ethical hackers who dedicated their time to securing our products. As a participant, our bug bounty team worked diligently to respond and triage reports, providing timely feedback and maintaining constant communication with researchers throughout the event.
We also had the privilege of meeting and collaborating with some of the most experienced individuals in the hacker community. Hear from our top hackers:
“I really loved collaborating with the Adobe team during the event — they were incredibly responsive and went above and beyond to provide deep technical insights, helping us exploit potential vulnerabilities more effectively.”
-Jackds, Team Netherlands, AWC 2024 Elite 8 - Show and Tell Award and AWC 2024 Elite 8 - Best Bug Award
“One of the things I like most about the Adobe team is their ability to understand very complex bugs that require very specific knowledge of a product from the large set of products they have.”
-Corraldev, Team Spain, AWC 2024 Finals - Best Hacker award and AWC 2024 Finals - Best Bug Award
We look forward to creating deeper connections within the community by continuing to invest in hacker-driven events and providing more opportunities to help us protect Adobe and our products.
