Spring is in the air, let’s get animated!

The Adobe Character Animator team brings you two new puppets: Sam and Alex. Use our puppets in your own creations to learn new techniques.

Spring is in the air, or if you are in the southern hemisphere, try to remember six months ago. Sunshine, warmer weather, and flowers beginning to bloom. For many of us that means one thing: Spring is officially here, so let’s get animated! The Adobe Character Animator team brings you two new example puppets: Sam and Alex. Use any of our example puppets in your own creations or take them apart to learn new techniques. All are free to use however you want.

Designed by the award-winning illustrator Keith Negley, whose work you can frequently find in The New York Times and The New Yorker, Sam is a multilayered Illustrator file rigged and ready for animating. Sam has a cool super-hero outfit and uses the Walk behavior. You can put some spring in Sam’s step by playing with the Walk Styles. Download Sam.

Renegade Animation produces smart, funny, and always original animated content for film, television, advertising, streaming products, and other media. And they produced the Alex puppet. Alex is a multilayered Photoshop file rigged and ready for animating. He is such an enthusiastic video gamer that he cannot sit still. He is often kicking his feet around while shouting at the TV.
